All the years of waiting on the promise of the drafted, developing players coming someday, all the years of being sellers at the trade deadline for picks and prospects that mostly didn't pan out.

Maybe now is the beginning of our reward.

I don't know what I like more about that clip....the cop nonchalantly clapping, or the other guy in the tunnel do his best Will Farrell.

What an unbelievable night! Crowd was so awesome in the third period, I got to participate in the Cash on Ice contest in between the second and third periods for a chance at $10,000, and more importantly, WE GOT A FREAKING WIN.

I am so proud of being a fan of this team for 14 years.

There's definitely room for improvement for this team, but screw it, I don't care about it after tonight's amazing win.

Boone Jenner- Future captain for the Blue Jackets.
Ryan Johansen- What a freaking stud.
Love the CBJ chant and We are the Fifth Line tag.

To my employer and the NHL- Please correspond your schedules together so that I may be able to attend a playoff game.

Congrats on your win. Don't want to go overboard with this but Ryan Johansen seems to resemble a right-handed Jamie Benn.

1) My 33rd home game attended in the past 3 years and the crowd was unlike any other. The crowd was standing for the Jackets when they took the ice at the game's start and the third period noise level was something that I had never experienced at Nationwide. Not even close.

2) The guys were definitely gripping their sticks too tight in the first period. The offense was as disconnected as I've seen it this season during the first frame. Hell, I was nervous before the game and I never have been nervous before a Jackets game. I can only imagine the butterfly level of the players.

3) Is Mark Letestu the best non entry level contract in the league at $1.25 million per year?

4) Did I really post that Johansen was a bust? No scouting contracts for me.

5) Congrats to all of the long term CBJ faithful here.:handclap: I've only been on board for 3 years. I've enjoyed watching this team develop into a winner and for those of you who have been rooting for this franchise since day 1, the present experience has got to be quite gratifying.

One thing I got thinking about during last night. When was the last time jackets actually scored a tying goal with the goalie pulled? I know Calvert scored with the goalie pulled @ Pittsburgh, but that just made it 1-2, it was not a tying goal. It feels like it's been a long time.

Europe. Somewhere.
Hell of game! Phoenix is a pretty good and equally desperate team, sucks to go to OT but it all worked out in the end.

But hell no to resting Bob; these last few games could be considered our pre-playoffs, played parallel to Philly and Detroit, with the loser getting the booby prize of facing Boston.

We need to go all-out until the final whistle of the final game. Let's get #3 or #7.

Great win, but I'm not popping the champagne yet. Need to refocus and close out the next 3 games strongly. It would make a huge difference getting past Philly and Detroit. I'm feeling greedy now.

White outs suck because they aren't organic anymore. It's something the franchise does as a promotional gimmick. It's like the chili chant or the T-shirt cannon.

Grumble...Chili Chant...grumble...sucks...grumble. I know many like it, but I loathe it. On that, I will always be consistent.

back from the game and it was a magical night in Nationwide!! crowd was into it all night and yes, most of the lower bowl was on it's feet from about the 5 minute mark till the game ended in OT...

Don't want to sound over dramatic, but I think we're watching a future NHL superstar develop right before our eyes...61 was the number one pick in his draft year and was sort of expected to be a pretty good player...when Ryan Johanson was drafted, it was a head scratcher to some who maybe expected us taking someone else with the 4th pick of the 2010 draft...that being said, I believe 19 could be the best player we ever drafted and developed when all is said and done....he's going to be a special player for us, hopefully, for a long time

I think most here already believe that that Johansen is already a better hockey player than Nash. The only season Nash out shined what Johansen has been this year I would say is in 09, Nash was really good that season, but this Johansen kid is a complete player. If you go back to the tread at the start of the year about him, none of us were sure were he was headed because he started the year a little flat, but boy did he blow up into a star heading towards superstar status.

I get your point. Having said that Bob has been a very mixed bag with back-to-back's and Bob had a fairly heavy workload. McBackup was good in his recent starts. We should have a little more confidence in our backup.

Just saying I don't think it's all cut and dry. I'll be ok with whatever he decides; but I think you are going to need to sit Bob for one of these games.

I would like to draw the Ranger, but baring that I don't care if it's Boston or the Pens. In some ways, I think we match up better with Boston.

Another thing: I love what Skille brought to the game last night. He was so fast and he nearly scored 2 or three times. I want this guy in the lineup every night.

yes

I go with with McBack tonight if I'm calling the shots. Bob was not his best last night, and the last thing we need is to get him run down and sick again. Curtis has been good enough for us to win when we play our game.

Anyone else notice how FS Ohio consistently uses the same outdoor scenes and also intermission scenes? I've seen the guy in the Jacket Backers sweater in the team shop enough.

They do the same thing with road games, they use the same intermission shot in Detroit because i'm in it, i get texts all the time asking if i made the road trip. it's from Game 2 of the Playoffs.

Remember when I said Hinote was pumped?

I think a hug from an excited Hinote could be dangerous. Its almost more of a fore arm shiver to the ribs. Look for Hartsburg to be out with an upper body injury tonight, but hopeful to travel with the team to FLA.

That was a great crowd energy and volume wise, can't understand how they were 2000 short of a sellout for the finale with playoffs on the line, that's a bummer

I like the 5th line. It reminds me of my own place on the depth chart during my atrocious hockey career.

The "5th line" much like "#Lumbus" is just a sad and annoying reminder that so many people in this town need a lame gimmick to hop on and the national media won't pay attention to the CBJ unless there is a lame social media joke to make fun of.

Hopefully when we are in the playoffs this 5th line nonsense has died away and gone down and we can focus on the actual hockey.

Well put. A crime he was in Springfield for so long. No reason for Boll to ever go in the lineup over him the rest of the way.

I don't see what's so wrong with fans using something like that to enhance the experience in the arena. If it helped get people excited for the game and loud when they were in the arena, why the hate? Just let the people who pay their money enjoy the game how they please. No one is making you participate.
