I might get roasted for this but this team is way better when Letestu consistently gets 15-16 minutes of ice time. Coach Richards has to use his that way, not the 10-12 or 18-20.

:handclap: Welcome.

Must say...I don't mind giving a point to Phoenix as long as we got the extra in ROW. As another franchise dealing with mediocre hockey for years and years, it'd be nicer to see them get in. However, we need to really get some confidence back and lock down the last minute.

still two pages from catching up but wanted to comment on these points. Letestu seems like a guy who with enough ice time could really contribute. He could be a playoff breakout candidate. I think his quietness earlier in the season had to do with his line and how much time he was seeing. I remember he was pretty clutch last year in a bigger role.

And I agree totally about Phoenix. Aside from all the ex-Jackets players who were at one time on the roster, I like that team a lot. Says a lot about their character to be consistently at least above average with all the instability surrounding that franchise. Totally indifferent to the city and the state but the hockey team has my admiration.

I'm sure it was good, but they haven't heard anything yet. My ears are still ringing from the playoff year. Hopefully this group will appreciate it more than the previous playoff team and build off it.

That was a good group but honestly this feels more like a team. By and large guys have grown together for two years and, imo, reaching the post season will be that much sweeter because of it. If we do (No jinx lol).

Tonight's game tops last year's home finale as most exciting games I've been to. Holy crap that was awesome. It would have been nice to win in regulation without the drama, but the drama made Joey's GWG soooooo much more exhilarating.

And to touch on the C-B-J chant, it briefly started during last year's finale vs. Nashville, but only for a few seconds.

Crowd definitely on par with last season's final home game and the playoff games. From where I was sitting anyway. Loved the CBJ chant.

Outplayed most of the first period. Really skated hard in the second and played pretty well for much of the third. This late-game goal can't become a thing. (Bad for the team and for me.)

I had no idea OEL was suck a *****. From his scuffle with Johansen early on to a couple dangerous plays to diving an whining. Then he gets the goal. Typical reverse karma. Eat it, Ekman-Larson. He must be learning from that ***** Doan. Funny to watch Calvert yap at Yanlde from the bench. They had quite a lengthy exchange.

Hinote with ridiculous energy tonight. Jumped back an slammed into the board at a near-miss shot early on.

Calvert, Johansen and Savard really look like they are enjoying themselves playing the game. You know I love it when guys bring the joy.

Too bad about Horton. All hands on deck.

Is it just me or is Jack Johnson always on the ice when we get scored on late in games? Outside that, what a gutsy win. Johansen is just nails and Jenner is gonna be such a solid player for the next ten years. Murray still hasn't quite caught back up, he got turned inside out one or two times, but he's still such a smooth, smart player. Just keep winning and nothing else matters.

That's what really cool about this franchise. All the best stuff is organic from the fans. The cannon, Dancin' Kevin, LEO! (had to get that in there), Money on the Board, C-B-J, #WeAreThe5thLine.

Back form the Game.

WOW!

The drama does add to the excitement. The CBJ chant was fun and the place did get loud in the third.

I BELIEVE!.

Target Dallas!

Oh, that explains it. I was wondering about that!

First, wow. I am so glad I got to go to this game. Easily the best Jackets game I've been to, bar none. I've missed out on last years finale, and also both playoff games, but this made up for it. It was unreal. I can only imagine what it would be like in the Playoffs. I had a few observations from the game as well:

First and foremost, Jenner is a PLAYER. And I mean, I thought he was the best player for either team tonight. He was everywhere, his goal was timely as usual, and there isn't a single thing I don't love about this kid. Future captain, future 30 goal scorer for sure. Impressed the hell out of me.

No idea how Greiss didn't stop Comeau's shot, but that was beautiful. Never even expected him to shoot there.

I agree with previous comments about Letestu. The thing that amazes me most about him is his versatility. He can play absolutely any role, and excel in doing so.

Joey has a ROCKET of a shot.

I thought JJ played well in both ends tonight.

Horton came back too soon. Lame.

Team defense was outstanding in the 3rd. And in addition to that, so was the offense.

Can't say enough about Cam and Calvert. Love Calvert's fire. But he probably should've gotten a penalty for hitting OEL after the Dubinsky hit. LOVED what happened between he and Doan. Thought Cam was flying out there. Dubi is really developing some good puck control skills.

Let's keep Skille please.

**** OEL. Dude was being a ***** all game long. I could tell Joey was incredibly peeved with him.

And last, per usual, Bob is calm, cool, and collected in net. He's such a bad ass.

Again, wow.

No doubt about it. I love having Wis on the team. He has his moments, but there's very few other right handed PMD's I'd have on my powerplay.

Couldn't agree more. I saw he was awarded the 3rd star on the FSO telecast, with 24:25 toi (though JJ outpaced him at 28:37).

edit: didn't even realize how good Wiz's OT pass to Joey was on the winner until watching the highlights. Wow. Remember the PR blitz with Wiz and Carter, the introductions? At least Wiz meant it

I want to win in Dallas so we can give Bob a rest in Florida/Tampa.

I want to finish above Detroit in the standings for the first time in franchise history. That alone would be a great deal for the organization and worth starting Bob unless he's really showing he's not up to it.

Johansen's OT goal was downright Sakic-esque. Coming down the wing, snapping a deadly accurate shot in stride...oh yeah.

I wish they could switch Jody (color on TV) and Davidge (back to radio) since Billy likes to talk. Bobby is fine. I'd just like to hear a different voice now and then.

Sakic...soooo brutal vs. Jackets. My normal season ticket seats are great. They are first row of upper bowl. But first time I got to sit anywhere close to the glass was on March 13, 2003 when my wife got me 4th row seats in 102. That guy had a natural hat trick in the first period.:(

Was probably right behind you for that game if I remember correctly. What an amazing player. Between 19 and Roy that team made our guys look silly for years. Anyways, back to the thread.....

don't think I like the 5th line thing, but otherwise cool. Money on the Board is a charity thing, right?

Oh, I forgot a couple of other things:

I knew that ****er Erat would score. Also thought it was funny how he started trash talking Wiz. If they went at it, Wiz would've beat his ass straight to the ****ing ice.

Also, what was perhaps my favorite part of the game was the crowd's reaction to OEL's goal. Everyone was devastated. But for no more than 30 seconds, because after that, it was like everyone suddenly decided, "you know what, this team is different, this time we got this", and started cheering as loud as they did before the goal was scored. It was beautiful, and it sent chills down my spine.

Who says this isn't a hockey town?! GO JACKETS.

I think the team rides Bob until it's not possible to catch Detroit and/or Philly. If after the Tampa game, we are locked into the playoffs as the 8, Bob will obviously get the Florida game off.

Yes. At it's peak we raised well north of $5,000 for the Blue Jackets foundation. It was actually created to help get the team over the hump in the middle of a long season.

I like 5th line better than 7th man because a line is several people acting as one.
