2)I remember when people said Savard's skating was to poor for the NHL. At on point, Savard was pissed because he was in the AHL and felt he deserved to be in the NHL. I wonder if the thought of being back in the AHL is making him play hard every game.

I remember reading during training camp or early season that in last season's player wrap-up meetings, either Richards or JD or both of them basically told him that he needed to decide if he wanted to be an NHL player because he was running out of opportunities. Conditioning and commitment seemed to be missing. Obviously he took those words to heart and put the work in he needed. He's been a pleasant surprise this year.

Oh, I forgot a couple of other things:

I knew that ****er Erat would score. Also thought it was funny how he started trash talking Wiz. If they went at it, Wiz would've beat his ass straight to the ****ing ice.

Also, what was perhaps my favorite part of the game was the crowd's reaction to OEL's goal. Everyone was devastated. But for no more than 30 seconds, because after that, it was like everyone suddenly decided, "you know what, this team is different, this time we got this", and started cheering as loud as they did before the goal was scored. It was beautiful, and it sent chills down my spine.

Who says this isn't a hockey town?! GO JACKETS.

Not only that, once Comeau scored you could sense this unspoken attitude of "we're putting you on our backs and carrying you the rest of the way!"

And 95% C-B-J fans.... no Detroit, Chicago, Pittsburgh or Buffalo.... Any fans who live in the 614 zip code and wear those sweaters need to be exposed, hot burning tar and feathers are still available.

I'd say it was 98% CBJ fans

I like the 5th line. It reminds me of my own place on the depth chart during my atrocious hockey career.

Yes. At it's peak we raised well north of $5,000 for the Blue Jackets foundation. It was actually created to help get the team over the hump in the middle of a long season.

I like 5th line better than 7th man because a line is several people acting as one.

First of all, great work with Money on the Board.

Not gonna dwell on 5th line. For me it's like "white-outs", fans getting too involved. But hey, I'm a guy who doesn't even like jerseys. (though it's looking my Wrangler denim shirt with jeans, aka my "Canadian tuxedo", may become my CBJ good luck uniform :) )

Lori Schmidt just posted an audio link of the CBJ chant and Joey's GWG on Twitter. So f'ing awesome.

Can't sleep, still too much juice after this one.

Can't help but think back to JD's fall commercials saying "The Best Is Yet to Come". Indeed it was and still is. Go Jackets!

I'm sure it was good, but they haven't heard anything yet. My ears are still ringing from the playoff year. Hopefully this group will appreciate it more than the previous playoff team and build off it.

Most of them have not. Even last years finale was no where near game 4 with Detroit. Not even in the same league.

Tonight was loud; but the players haven't heard anything yet.

At no point before the final horn, did I sense from ANYBODY tonight that this could be the last home game of the season.

White outs suck because they aren't organic anymore. It's something the franchise does as a promotional gimmick. It's like the chili chant or the T-shirt cannon.

This is why Testy should always have an "A" on his sweater for this team.
"I want to be part of the solution, not the problem", a great entrance interview & tone setter.

He's a team leader & his attitude never changed even when things weren't going his way & his role on the team dramatically changed earlier in the year.

I don't think that I've heard anyone get down on Letestu; even though his production is down. Smart player, plays the right way. I look forward to a few more years with him and maybe even after he retires.

If he doesn't want to do coaching he has a career in the booth if he wants it.

Letestu is exactly the kind of guy who could be a great coach some day.

Weak... even more than weak. That chant and the after goal song feel like they take away excitement. I know some disagree, but I strongly feel both should go. No song after a goal, just loud horn, cannon, cheers & chants.

The CBJ chant is nice to hear

AGREED! I been saying the same thing about that stupid song since it started. I HATE IT. :shakehead CBJ chant was fantastic and I'm thinkin it becomes something from here on out.

Aaron Portzline ‏@Aportzline 1h

#CBJ Nathan Horton had a setback tonight. Seems very likely he's done for the rest of the regular season, perhaps beyond.

Mike Morreale ‏@mikemorrealeNHL 1h

Boone Jenner's gl tonight gives @Col_BlueJackets 7 playrs w/ 15 or more gls this season. During last plyoff appearance in '09, CBJ had 3.

back from the game and it was a magical night in Nationwide!! crowd was into it all night and yes, most of the lower bowl was on it's feet from about the 5 minute mark till the game ended in OT...

Don't want to sound over dramatic, but I think we're watching a future NHL superstar develop right before our eyes...61 was the number one pick in his draft year and was sort of expected to be a pretty good player...when Ryan Johanson was drafted, it was a head scratcher to some who maybe expected us taking someone else with the 4th pick of the 2010 draft...that being said, I believe 19 could be the best player we ever drafted and developed when all is said and done....he's going to be a special player for us, hopefully, for a long time

The crowd was awesome, I had free tickets offered to me but chose to get the kids to soccer instead, the kids are still pissed at me for that choice.

I know alot of coworkers, all casual fans, got free tickets and I hope this kind of win sucks them in.

Awesome win, but we have developed a very bad habit of not closing out games. Here is my 2 cents on that. We need to relax and play that like a pk, instead of frantically chasing the puck down leaving gaps in our coverage. There is no way OEL should have that much time and space with the puck. Stop crowding in front of the net, its only making it worse for Bob who already has to look over enough bodies. Relax and cover the zone so they don't have time to get a puck on net.
