Not a criteria for the tiebreaker.

Tie-Breaking procedure
If two or more clubs are tied in points during the regular season, the standing of the clubs is determined in the following order:

1.The fewer number of games played (i.e., superior points percentage).
2.The greater number of games won, excluding games won in the Shootout. This figure is reflected in the ROW column.
3.The greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs. If two clubs are tied, and have not played an equal number of home games against each other, points earned in the first game played in the city that had the extra game shall not be included. If more than two clubs are tied, the higher percentage of available points earned in games among those clubs, and not including any "odd" games, shall be used to determine the standing.
4.The greater differential between goals for and against for the entire regular season. NOTE: In standings a victory in a shootout counts as one goal for, while a shootout loss counts as one goal against.

Fun factoid, my brother is now 6-0-0 on the season. He attends wearing a season 1 Ron Tugnutt jersey. Thinking about giving him my tickets for the rest of the season.

The truth of the matter is that the Jackets cheated their way to a win. But you can do that in this league, and can do it very successfully.

Well this doesn't make me feel good about the victory :(

A Red Wings fan complaining about another team cheating their way to a victory....

How did we cheat? And we're not "healthy" as we have Tyutin and Murraay both out. Yes they've lost 280 or so man games but we're right behind them.

Oh, and remember that game with the Wings against the Kings where the puck went off the netting and into the net? Talk about getting the benefit of the call to win a game...

Wins themselves aren't a criteria. #2 is ROW (regular and overtime wins) while the Wins column also includes shootout wins.

Curious why you're responding with this, since it doesn't change the accuracy of what I posted.

Total wins are not part of the tiebreaker. Regulation/OT wins are.

:handclap: And game in hand vs Rangers...and we already own a 1-0 lead in that game in hand ;-)

If we ever get sole possession of 2nd place, that's where we'll finish. :yo:

We're looking good against all teams around us regarding all tie breakers. Rangers have extra ROW win, but have played extra game. Montreal and Philly are tied with us in ROW. Solid lead in ROW versus all others around us.

Current head-to-head points tie breaker vs Rangers is 4-3 in our favor with one game left. Rangers would need to beat us in regulation to leap over us.

Current head-to-head points tie breaker vs. Montreal is 2-1 in favor of Montreal due to the home S/O loss to them earlier this year. We could regain the tie breaker with win in Montreal next Thursday.

We lead Philly 4-2 in points head-to-head with a game to go. Best they can do is beat us in regulation to make it even 4-4.

Goal Differential is most impressive to me. We're 4th in the conference.:amazed:

Boston +61
Pittsburgh +45
Tampa Bay +15
Columbus +11
Rangers +7
Montreal Even
Toronto -3

He feels the Jackets got away with a number of infractions that weren't called. He claimed the Jackets "spun Mrazek around" on Foligno's goal that tied the game. He claims Calvert "grabbed Ericsson's stick and held him down" on Jenner's goal. He claims Comeau injured Jurco with a cross-check. He claims the Jackets "gooned it up" and got away with it.

Basically, he's looking for excuses because his team could never just lose to bottom feeders like the CBJ.

I love it!

It is a Tuesday. You are correct. We drew the same amount tonight against the Wings that we drew Tues Oct 22...against the Devils (14K).

But yes....a Tuesday it is.

October, March, doesn't matter, its a Tuesday. And the Jackets are anything but assured a playoff spot. We won't fill the house by ourselves on weeknights until we are a really good team. Crowd was fine tonight, imo.

Detroit allowed 29 shots - yes, 29 - in the final 38 minutes of regulation & barely had the puck. But yes, #CBJ’s fault. Next laugh, please.

Looking at his twitter feed, seems like just another angry dude on twitter. With all his cussing he's anything but professional, and He's an idiot.

So he's not some relevant beat writer, sports anchor or something for Wings? Someone just decided to follow this random idiot and post his rants on CBJ board?

He's an internet-famous Wings blogger. An okay writer but man is he a homer.
