I for one had a bad feeling about the last game.

This one we take home and win the series.

Yes Habs fans could help them, until the first goal is scored. If it's Leafs scoring first, Habs will experience disappointing fans live again, who knows some pressure can creep in. Habs are due to make some mistakes ...Good structure and team play or not. Not buying individual mistakes won't cost them a game this series.

Some of these other series are crazy intense and pretty awesome to watch. I do think the habs style is boring by nature and I do think Foligno would have helped in that regard but overall I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of fire and compete. It was the perfect time to come out hitting and battling and dishing it out and really making a statement, which is in their control. Instead, the leafs came out of the gates playing small and afraid not to mention lazy and sloppy. They did find some of their mojo in the 3rd. As it turns out too little too late. Very jekyl and hyde so far.

You can't learn killer instinct. It's developed as a reflex. All these amazing players need to win a series to take a leap in their development. It might be different for Bruins youngsters with core of Bergeron,Marchand, Krejci who all played major role in winning the last cup B got. Leaf don't have that luxury hence more paints getting your starts the playoff experience they need.

One deep run and your floating kids are now battle-tested warriors is all I'm saying.

I am almost to that point.......but not there yet. Lol
I’m just going to peak in on the score. This teams past losses patterns in playoffs and the complete same thing yesterday completely turned me off.
If they lose this first round because they are chokers I won’t be watching again and will evaporate from this board. I’ve had it with half efforts and lack of killer instinct

You know what could've potentially solved this problem of too many games in too many nights? Not handing Montreal at least 3 goals for them to beat them last night. Christ. I know I've harped on it a lot, but the way the Leafs lost Game 5 is the most infuriating way to lose, we just handed Montreal the game by not starting on time and making one back-breaking turnover after another.

But I do think the Leafs wouldn't have any rest anyway. If the Leafs did pull off the win last night I think the NHL would've made us and Winnipeg play Saturday, so who cares I suppose.
The Habs treated last night's game like a playoff game while the Leafs treated almost like an exhibition game. We weren't hitting anyone. There was several times our guys did fly by's instead of finishing their checks. The Habs won because they scared the shit out of us right off the hop and everyone was afraid of holding the puck after that. We should have been doing the exact same thing and give it right back to them. We added some gritty vets but they're not bringing what we need out of them. Hopefully we see it tomorrow.

2 of those goals were pretty weak on Campbell's part as well. I didn't like his body language in the early going. He looked hesitant at times and the commentators were talking about him coming up with some big saves but to me he looked like he guessed and the puck managed to luckily hit his arm anyway. I still have faith in Soup to get the job done. I just hope he plays more like he did in game 4 than last night.

Guessing 25 very quiet Leafs fans and 2475 boisterous Hab fans.

More than likely.

Habs season ticket holders bought all the tickets... There are hundreds on the resale market for massive markups... so, if some of our fellow Leaf Nation friends ponied up the money there may be some there... on top of that though the QC/ON border is technically closed for non-essential travel. I live in QC, but I cannot affort those prices sadly, otherwise I would be there. I'll keep an eye on the prices up to tomorrow afternoon just in case they drop to original price, but not expecting that.

For those few Leafs fans that will be there, I hope they get to enjoy a big victory!

If Montreal comes out super charged and throwing their weight around and get 6/10 first scoring opportunities to start the first 10 minutes of the game, I'm going to the pissed off no matter if there's any scoring. We need the team that has the championship aspirations to put rubber to the road and just do the job.

Big game and they didn’t show up yesterday. They haven’t shown up for a big game in 5 playoffs. These guys are getting quite the choke label in my eyes. That was not enough and the finger points right at Matthews and Marner.

Marner hasn’t scored in 16 playoff games. Seriously. That’s disgusting choke artist material. Matthews dries up after 1st game of the series. That’s quite the choke artist.

Getting easy to hate these losers

I think there is something to this. The first round (and the first series win for this iteration of the team) can be the biggest hurdle. I really think we will see them elevate their game significantly if they can get over this initial obstacle and remove that lingering doubt that they can do it.

I think that's the complaint, they are now on series number five without having won any.

Limit the mistakes for game 6 and play the same way and we should win the game. Three out of the four goals they scored in Game five were assisted from us. Also swap out Sandin for Dermott, not gonna dump on Sandin because he's a rookie but can't make those mistakes in the playoffs as it costs you goals.

They also need to swap out Jumbo on PP 1 for Nylander, It just makes no sense keeping our best player in the series off the top powerplay unit. Lastly, score on our chances, the Leafs had multiple grade A chances to score and haven't. You can't allow a team to stay in the game by not finishing the game, if they go up 2-0 on MTL by finishing the grade A chances, MTL is done.
Agree with sitting/ scratching sandin likely rookie mistakes but they were costly mistakes

The leafs don't like making things easy for themselves or us.

Hopefully we can end it tomorrow night. We need 16 and 34 to show up big.

But we'll probably go to game 7

Can we just win and shut everyone the f*** up please? So tired of this team taking the most difficult road possible.
In my mind this series is win/win for the fans. Win the series, get over the hump and see what this core can do.

Lose the series, and the core has officially cemented themselves as losers who can’t win the big game, so it’s time for big changes this summer.

Obviously I want the former, but it’s been five years. This is it.
