My favourite are people who play both sides of the fence. Forever complaining then wanna cheer when we win. Can’t have it both ways. You either believe in this team or you don’t. Make your choice now

Agreed. Like if you've already demanded a player be traded, no cheering for that player.

Which means everyone trashing Marner now can't cheer for Nylander, because I'm pretty sure they were trashing him when he had playoff struggles.

Any other rules you boys wanna lay down ? :biglaugh:

Hope they don't get too rattled by the fans at the Bell Centre. They already seem mentally vulnerable right now. Having failed to close out a series in 19 years and counting. Losing every elimination game with this core. And so on.
It will be a nice change for them to play the villain role at least.

that would be literal absolute bull shit. the leafs would have played 6 games in 10 days and would have to go onto face a rested jets team?

Meh that's playoffs. I don't mind it tbh. Assuming we advance, our team will be ready and in full playoff mode. Jets will be rested and have time to recover from injuries but I'd bet we would come in with more intensity and focus. Pros and cons to it, but that's playoffs for you.

Are you kidding me?

That would indicate we'd have a 2 day break somewhere in there right? If we play Monday we'd go again on Wednesday. The league wants Toronto on Saturday so we'd get a couple days off there.

This doesn't matter too much if we advance tbh. In 2019 Boston went through a 7 game war against us and 2 days later had to play a rested CBJ who just swept TBL and felt on top of the world. The Bruins still won that series. We have no excuse to not do the same if we beat Montreal.

I'm scared they might be stupid and have us play back to back again.....Friday/Saturday

But yeah let's close this series out first

Really need to score first and have the Habs chasing the game. Longer they trail the more desperate they'll get and throw bodies forward.

Leafs have let this team hang around too long, drop the hammer.

If they lose this game, I will have 0 confidence in this team. I still believe, but they have to win this game. It's tough to feel optimistic if the damn Habs take them to 7 games in the first round. Winning 1 round, or heck, even 2 doesn't do much for us. Losing to another elite team in the 3rd round does nothing.

Just win. The team played good in general, it was individual mistakes and also Price was pretty good.
AM and Marner need to pick up their game. I know AM is doing well beside scoring and Marner's PK is great but they are the leaders of the team and one led the league in goals and the other is 4th in points, they both need to do more.

You know what could've potentially solved this problem of too many games in too many nights? Not handing Montreal at least 3 goals for them to beat them last night. Christ. I know I've harped on it a lot, but the way the Leafs lost Game 5 is the most infuriating way to lose, we just handed Montreal the game by not starting on time and making one back-breaking turnover after another.

But I do think the Leafs wouldn't have any rest anyway. If the Leafs did pull off the win last night I think the NHL would've made us and Winnipeg play Saturday, so who cares I suppose.

Logic tells me Leafs will win this, they're ultimately a far superior team. The Leaf fan in me tells me they'll find a way to lose and ultimately choke away the series in 7 games. I will be angry and depressed and revert back to hating everyone and want the core decimated.
I'm almost certain if they lose there will be riots in this city.

The issue I see viewing some of the other series is the lack of intensity from this group.
Getting by the Habs should be given but the way they are going about it is troubling. They are far from looking explosive and dominant. Some of the most boring hockey I have ever seen in playoff action. From early analysis, no way we can beat those teams down south unless there is a dramatic reversal in their play. There just seems to be a lack of fire with this team.
Some of these other series are crazy intense and pretty awesome to watch. I do think the habs style is boring by nature and I do think Foligno would have helped in that regard but overall I was surprised and disappointed by the lack of fire and compete. It was the perfect time to come out hitting and battling and dishing it out and really making a statement, which is in their control. Instead, the leafs came out of the gates playing small and afraid not to mention lazy and sloppy. They did find some of their mojo in the 3rd. As it turns out too little too late. Very jekyl and hyde so far.
