Realistically, what team would want Trouba?
There would be teams interested especially if we retained a few million. Some GM will love his physicality and want to sell tickets. It can be done and I hope it is. Either that or just bite the bullet and buy him out. I don't want him anywhere near this team next year. The defense was never better when he was injured.

What are Zibanejad’s advanced stats against top 5 teams? They must be atrocious. He gets pantsed in public against these top teams. Just not a player you can win the cup with because he’s terrible 5v5.

Don’t tell me Panarin is the problem. He still does some good things. Put Panarin on Barkov’s wing and he will be lethal just like how Gaborik was lethal with Kopitar in the playoffs and invisible with Christensen.

Also I’m doubling down on the fact that our forwards suck at defense and board battles as the reason for why we never have the puck.

That's Teddy Long playa!

For not knowing that, you get to go one-on-one...

...WITH THE UNDERTAKAH!!!!
I know this may sound crazy to you. I've hated the WWF product since about 1998. I hate how everyone has to always say the same catchphrase or use the same three moves and do the same poses when they enter the ring.

I anticipate that’s what will happen, they don’t have much choice based on the contracts. I just don’t see a different outcome occurring with these same players as your top players again.
At least everyone was wrong about Lafreniere and we have like a 17-year window of him being a star :dunno:

Vegas was disrespecting us but we'll also close up shop if we are trailing going into game 6.

Yup, these are my readers.

That's a fair criticism but Teddy Long putting somebody in a match with the Undertaker was a worthwhile trope.

To give themselves a chance in game 6, they're gonna have to volume shoot and try more deflections. Holding the puck looking for the better shot isn't working. Panarin had a chance to shoot a couple of times but held it too long. Same with Fox.

It blows my mind that the internet is that young. I still remember when I'd get in trouble because my dial up prevented my dad's clients from being about to contact him.
The internet especially AOL to me I always associate with the post-94 Cup, Pamela Anderson, and my friends and I trying to find out updates on the then new RHCP/Metallica albums (which would eventually be One Hot Minute and Load).

I stopped watching wrassling way before this.

Anyway, I'm gong to sleep resigned to our fate but I'll wake up still hoping for a miracle. Luckily for me I'm going to miss most of the game Saturday night. I'd rather not watch if we do in fact walk the plank. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised if they can somehow pull one out of the hat.

Bob just leaving the puck loose every time, and no Ranger being anywhere close to a rebound tonight was gross.

Also the one shift where the Rangers kept the puck in forever, Florida got one of five players to change and Trouba carried the puck in the zone and immediately took a nothing shot that went into the netting.

The f***ing Rempe mania didn't help.

He's not a bad player and he has an NHL future but he's played way too many games for a team with aspirations such as ours.

He's not losing us games but we have enough depth (including a pretty damn good #7 D) who could help us a lot more than Rempe's 2-5 minutes per contest.

Jones should've been in after G3. That's when it became clear we couldn't move the puck out of the zone.. and I have never been in favor of playing 7D
Yup. Rempe was essentially neutered by the NHL and he was afraid to breathe on somebody or get a penalty. I can't blame him and 4-5 minutes game doesn't cut it. Edstrom just seemed a little better and smoother in his short stint. I also agree about 11/7 was probably the best course with the lack of minutes Rempe was getting and the awful time the D clearing the puck. This is why I'm disappointed in Lavy. He really did nothing ballsy to help this team win. He's a dino coach.

Zibanejad bailing out of the play in an attempt to draw a call on Bennett before the empty net goal really seriously irks me as a Rangers fan and a hockey fan in general. This is the same player who got publicly chewed out by Gallant at the end of a game for mouthing off to refs. Just play the game straight up dude.
Meeka is a Loser

I don't disagree, I just don't think you necessarily have to blow up the team for them to cycle a bit more.

The team can win games and the East sucks right now. Me, personally, I'm giving them one more look with a healthy Fox and (hopefully) the beer league defensemen off the roster.

If it doesn't work, what, we start a rebuild one year later? I'm willing to take that risk.
Most of this group WILL be back. Wheeler/Gus/Kakko/Wenneberg will not. I doubt Roslovic is unless it's a cheap deal. Trouba who knows.

The key is to add pieces around them that will balance their weaknesses and integrate some rookies.

I don't know why he never got a shot. He looked good in his 1 or 2 games that he played and can skate.
My guess is room dynamic. The guys LOVED Rempe and it loosened them up. Edstrom they like but he didn't have the same effect. He'll be here this fall PKing.

We ain’t winning Jack squat with Meeka as our 1C. Wheeler, Gus, and Kakko aren’t the problem.
