The literal question isn't even written out. Its literally impossible to transcribe the whole conversation and present it on Twitter.

I'm not saying that's for sure what's happening but it's damn fine to acknowledge there might be missing parts of information before proclaiming what's happening with certainty.

You've gone from (1) stating that the quote was taken of context, to (2) stating that it was 30% of a longer conversation, to (3) your new position that it maybe is or isn't part of a longer conversation.

"I can still be a good player for this team" probably was the thing to say....or maybe he knows they want to move on after the report he wouldnt waive his nmc last year

seriously...f*** these reporters and media today - only show the bait and not the full quote. the last part doesn't make his quote great, but for f*** sake the whole damn thing should have been put out there to begin with..he sounds a lot less hostile/agitated whatever if they just put out the whole thing...the media is a bigger joke than Seabs on ice play...

I think he was just saying that he doesn't think he is old and slow like the media thinks he is and writes about. If he cried like a baby while saying it, I would say it's babyish.

For sure. I just don't view this as a big departure from that. He's a bit defensive in that he still thinks he can play. He mentions specific criticisms of him, so he's clearly aware of it. I certainly don't see how some are getting to the he's trying to turn the locker room against JC, based solely on this one quote.

That's the thing that irks me. Posters here try to turn the player that isn't as well liked into a villain because they see one sentence of a response from him.
