I'm ordering my Tyler Myers jersey now so I don't have to wait for the trade to be completed.

What about Boqvist for Kubalik? Change of scenery deal for both sides. Columbus may want a late pick, but at the trade deadline when cap opens up a bit, they may project that they have a higher chance of getting a late pick for than they would for Boqvist because Kubalik will be a pending UFA.

He's played his way off of the Blue Jackets, and I can't imagine there is any trade market for him right now because of his contract.

If we assume Brannstrom is out long-term and may not be qualified, he's basically a cost-controlled Brannstrom replacement this year and next year. If he is really terrible, the Senators could buy him out at almost no cap consequence.

Has there been any updates on Brannstrom, particularly with his expected return or how serious the concussion issue is?

I've not seen any recent news. Thanks for any feedback.

Probably waiting to see how he progresses. They can always put him on LTIR retroactively to his last game if there is no, or slow, progress.
This is true. It just seems very quiet on the news & feedback, so starting to wonder if Brannstrom's situation is more serious.

What about trading for Flames Nikita Zadorov? The Flames are likely looking to make a move! The Sens could use help on D with all the injuries they have right now.

I would do - things… for Zadorov. We were interested when he was with Chicago.

Interesting side note, we have two scouts at the flames game last night.

I don't love picking off of Calgary cuz their guys are either up for UFA in a year or two, or they're signed for way too long. And equal dollars needing to go out makes any move difficult.
