Not sure if we would have won against the Penguins but if we could have at least beaten the Preds I would have considered it a win for the season!!!!

Just a ridiculous lineup, granted some of them were very young and inexperienced.

IIRC Rakell was playing injured, Eaves went out and then the Kesler problems started that offseason. We were about to win the cup with a bit more fortunate health. In 2015 and 2017 we were really close... but that's how it goes.

I think the playoffs is dependent on avoid bad luck, or rather injuries. This year's Boston team got wrecked with injuries that many didn't find out until long after they've been booted from the playoffs. Florida heading into the SCF got their bad luck injuries and were no match for Vegas.

I wonder if CBJ fans make these same whiny posts years later.
CBJ also didn’t have multiple under 30 year olds playing in this years final. Which can’t be said for the ducks. It’s one thing to miss badly on one prospect but having multiple former ducks be major factors in the two best teams is a bit of a black eye on the previous administration.

Karlsson is really neither here nor there as far as reflecting on the Ducks, he's the same as Montour. The Ducks knew those guys had value because they traded them for value, and both took many years and multiple coaches and organizations to figure their shit out. People act like they just dumped these guys on waivers or something.

CBJ are the dopes here for just leaving him exposed, but again, he kinda sucked there.

I know you all enjoyed a nice break from the Hampus talk, so I'd thought I'd ruin it by mentioning he finished 4th in Norris voting and made the 2nd All-star team:

I'm actually surprised that he came ahead of quite a lot of these guys.

Impressive year for him, finally getting the recognition he deserved.

At least we got Vaaks gaucher and that other dmen. Still a Terrible trade and worse after the contract was released

Lindholm was offered a contract to stay and declined. Verbeek got what he could for him. Really not sure what you expect to get out of a pending UFA...
