This past season likely ends up being an outlier career year for Hampus.

Very good player, but I highly doubt he puts up more than 50 points again.

Return definitely is disappointing.

Prob not but I think bruins fans will be plenty happy with 30points…. and ecstatic with 40+…. I imagine he has a couple more 35+ seasons coming

I will literally vomit if I see Perry in a Chicago jersey. I dealt with him being with the Stars, didn't care about any of the eastern conference teams he was on... but Chicago? No!

I don't understand that trade or why Perry would want to sign an extension there. Chicago are not contenders and he's got a very short time left. Unless he doesn't want another Cup and just wants to help prospects?

1. Chicago would probably be able to offer him the most money.
2. They can trade him at the deadline to a team that has a chance to win the cup.

Still doesn't make sense. No one is paying him much at this point. He's not in it for money, he should be focused on just winning. By going to free agency he can decide who has the best shot or the best pitch.

If he extends in CHI his future is in their hands to pick the team that gives the best return but maybe not the best opportunity to win

Did Perry have a NTC that he had to waive for the trade to go through? If not, I have a hard time seeing why he would sign there. Maybe Chicago throws Nick Foligno money at him?

If Perry signs with a bottom team like Chicago, then why wouldn’t he just sign with us?
because chicago will probably offer him more money before trading him to a contender at the deadline. and that's assuming the ducks would even be interested (they're not)

he's cup chasing like he has been the last 4 years

Why risk it and sign only to be traded later to a team not of your choice? The small amount extra he would probably get from Chicago doesnt seem worth not choosing your destination. Id want to at least see what teams were interested in free agency.

Sure he could sign a NTC that listed his 4-6 team he would want a trade to but that doesnt guarantee he ends up there at the deadline.

Let's say that 4 millions is highway robbery for a player like him. He'll also get the appeal of playing with Bedard I guess, then will be traded at the deadline to a contender. Perfect scenario for him, at worst he'll just earn a bunch of money he's absolutely not worth.

Ya so all my logic goes out the window when you pay a guy 4x what he's worth. Good for you Perry, make that paper.

Downside still... you have to be able to fit that contract into a contenders cap space at the deadline. Even at 50% retained that might be a hefty price. We will see.

Will hurt to see pears in a hawks jersey, but good to see him still chugging along... with a heavy train, carrying that 4 mil.

More of a former/current hybrid format, but this is a really smart move by the social media team to increase engagement during the off-season. This is the second grid like this, the earlier one was from a couple days ago if you want to go back and do that one also

I totally misunderstood how to play this game, lol. I was putting in numbers trying to make them add up to the same number across and down and of course I couldn't solve the damned thing. :propeller
