Yeah, I wish it wasn't such a crapshow at the time re: everyone trying to get where they need to be, otherwise I'd pick his brain on the team and stuff.

If only I was wearing my Getzlaf jersey!

Yeah when I met those two guys they were relaxed. Lol. Good guys, down to earth. I’m sure Getz is a great guy, have only heard good things, but yeah when your flight gets cancelled can be a little on edge.

Do I remember wrong but was there an interview of some sort with Getzy where he said he has had no talks with the Ducks about a management position with the new management (Pat) while there was some sort of a plan with Murray about it?

Correct. It was a podcast although I don't recall which one.

As I mentioned a couple days ago Getzy has said he's moving to Nashville in June so I wonder if he got a job with the Preds?

If that's the case, just another reason to hate PV.

Every interview I've heard with Getz over the past year has sounded to me like he (PV) has not been interested Getz getting having much/anything to do with this org.

Counterpoint: Kariya and Neids were on the committee that vetted and approved Pat.

Getz probably just wants to move to Nashville so that instead of a chicken coop he can have an entire chicken ranch

Nothing wrong with a guy moving around. Had a buddy move down to Nashville and said it’s amazing down there.

Actually heading to a bachelor party in August down there LOL
 
I thought verbeek was a good choice, too from the start. He's got some work to do to win me back.

Of course Getz can move anywhere he wants... but to uproot that big family and leave anaheim is disappointing, and a pretty good sign he has given up on doing anything with the Ducks anytime soon.

His tweet ironically proves the opposite point for me.

Nobody should make it to the NHL simply because they are fighters. There is still plenty of opportunity for physicality but you have to be skilled AND physical if you want to make it to the best league in the world.
