Raks is the type of player who will try harder on a good team so I’m not terribly surprised. It’s not like ever looked cooked here or anything. Watch out though he’s as streaky as they make them. It’s absurd how good Rakell has been for us in PIT. He’s back to the level he was in 16-17 I think it was when he looked like he was going to win a rocket to start the season. Hope he stays healthy. 200 ft game, tenacious, arguably our best forward this year.
He was always the guy that played well with good line mates. Issue wa he disappears on weaker lines and the Ducks started falling off. It’s absurd how good Rakell has been for us in PIT. Lots of guys improving when they leave here. It's almost expected now. It’s absurd how good Rakell has been for us in PIT. He elevates his entire game when he gets to play with good players. The effort level increases immensely on both sides of the puck. It was nice when we were able to accommodate that but downright ugly when you can’t. Flawed player.I think I’m most surprised by his play away from the puck especially since I have been regularly going to the pond since 2009 so I’ve effectively seen his entire career.
I don’t really see how late 1st rounders, and someone that was prob considered a reach on most draft boards could be considered a bust…. The fact that he’s in the nhl is good. The one thing that will change my mind about Steel being a bust is if he breaks his 6 goal ceiling, and not a moment before.
Beautiful backhand goal by Steel for his last of the season.
Feel like I’ve seen that one before. Think he did it early in the 56 game Covid season
Still remember his goal in the playoffs. Was that Legwant he embarrassed?Saw Bobby Ryan at the Preds game with his family yesterday. He looked really happy and healthy, so that was nice to see.

Glad to hear. When he was good, he was really good - happened to be with Getzlaf and Perry. Past years he expanded his game becoming more physical and aggressive away from the puck but with our poor roster he wasn't looking too good. It’s absurd how good Rakell has been for us in PIT. Steel hit the magical 6 number.
TNT doing a nice job recapping Luke Schenn’s career path. He’s not going to transform a team, but I wish the Ducks had him.
