He didn’t necessarily use it as a justification. He was asked about what the Flyers do different than other teams and he brought up Dave Scott funding the analytic department and then mentioned the app and brought up you can input JVR and it’ll spit out the value.
So Dave Scott didnt fire Cucky cause he payed for the app Cucky does all this wonderful things with! Not Torts, not Cucky is the chief of hockey ops. Its the APP! You cant fire the APP!

Were conquered by a APP

Was skimming through the thread and i think i got the gist of how embarrassing this was. Bad, but in a predictable way. I honestly expected even worse. Sad to see Coatsey as nothing more than a lapdog though.

I'm going to assume Chucky's "trade app" is just a porn site that exclusively shows POV stuff. It would certainly explain why he's so afraid to make deals - he just gets boned every time,

I don’t think he’s trolling to be fair. In fact, I think Chuckles having some sort of trade app the team designed, which can be fine in theory, makes perfect sense with everything else the team does. It’s like the Flyers having the largest analytics department, tied with the Leafs. Or using a consultation firm for a coaching hire. It makes them appear cutting edge and modern — blank check! — but it’s just a facade. They might even convince themselves they’re a modernized front office. Because they’re inbred nitwits.

That is not at all the point lol. I don't need to hear someone come on here and equivocate when we are in the middle of shitting on Chuck.

"Isn't that hilarious that Chuck uses an app for trade value? HAHA! What a c*** HAHA!"

It’s looking like the FO is circling the wagons around Fletcher to make it look like none of them sand bagged him. No need for them to worry. Fletcher did it to himself.
Yep. At this point everyone is walking gingerly around him, hoping to avoid the fallout.
I mean the Vegas odds are probably 10:1 he makes it a week past the end of the season.

It's like that old Russian sled thing in winter, the wolves are getting closer, we need to lighten the load, . . .

100% this is why Propp got traded all those years ago. he should've retired a Flyer but was getting way to close to some of those old boys' records.
If anything. Bobby Clarke did Brian Propp (and Poulin) a huge favor by sending him to the NHL's best team (at the time of the trade) with a serious chance of winning a Stanley Cup. The Flyers were in the brief stages of an internal power struggle and for a rare first time showed an uneasiness in direction with countering viewpoints of Jay Snider and Clarke.

Propp was also coming off a serious injury in which he had a blood clot and reportedly the ugly words of possibly "losing fingers" was attached.

That isn't meant to defend the trades. Seeing Poulin stripped of his captaincy was abhorrent (Holmgren's call) and seeing he and Propp in a rival jersey was sickening.

But while the Poulin trade was for a veteran, the Propp trade was for a draft pick in which the team selected Terran Sandwith (sp.). IIRC, the Flyers had five picks out of a series of eight consecutive NHL draft selections, One was a hit (Renberg), one was Chris Therien (probably a top five defenseman drafted by the team -- which says something about that vortex) and the other three busts. Those picks should have revitalized the team but that failed mostly. The Eric Lindros trade and the massive trade with Montreal helped cure that era. Unfortunately, today's frightful existence doesn't seem so easy to marinade.
