The 26 draft is shaping up to be special with two late 07 McKenna and Roobroeck.

Add in the cream of the 08 crop and it'll be draft that challenges 23.

Added another assist. How he played Moose Jaw game #2?

in 3 games where he has scored points; 0+6 +4, 5 shots on goal
in 4 games where he hasn't scored points, 0+0, -2, 6 shots on goal

Helluva 14 year old player, while he was playing in the WHL, his CSSHL team was struggling to get wins,
now that he is back, SAHA has won every game.

McKenna scored a goal and added 3 primary helpers in his last game.

He will be tasked with carrying Yukon, however if it's the same as before they really base division on strength - I think it'll be something like - the territories, nfld, and pei in the weaker division. He should be able to feast vs some of the other weaker teams.

Once the elimination round starts it'll be hard for someone even as skilled as he is to propel Yukon to a medal, but it'll be fun to watch.

Is he a Bedard level prospect?

Seems special.
Too early to say but looks very interesting.

Last season he already played in the CSSHL u18 as a 13 & 14 year old while scoring 23 goals, 65 points in just over 30 games.

Played 7 games in the WHL this season as an 14 year old, scored 6 points.

Last season he was almost 2.00 ppg
This season almost 3.00 ppg. In the CSSHL u18

I would say a step or two below Bedard
Seems quite a lot right? Two?

Too early to state that. Production wise he is ahead Bedard, right?

I dont think anyone before has scored 6 points in 7 games as a 14 year old in the WHL.

Bedard was 15 years and ecactly 9 months old when he scored 6 points it took him 3 games.

McKenna was 14 years 10 months and about 20 days.

So about 1 year younger.

Watched him play two weeks ago in Medicine Hat. His confidence carrying the puck into traffic is nuts for a 15 year old. He's not afraid to skate at guys and try to make them look stupid. Got robbed of his 1st goal on a cross-seam one timer late in the game.

the csshl highlights of him i have seen the same. i think its positive confidence, he is not in your face me me player but he knows he is really good and that gives him confidence.

sure, his game needs work and mature physically, but kid is barely 15, all thosr will come in time and with hard work.

scored another 5 points.

In his last 6 games in the CSSHL U18 Prep

2 goals 2 assists
2 goals 1 assist
1 goal 3 assists
2 goals 1 assist
3 goals 1 assist
2 goals 3 assists
-----------------
12 goals 11 assists
(3.83 ppg)

64 points now (2.91 ppg)

Matched his last season point total in the same league in 13 fewer games

FYI. in 2019-2020 season Connor Bedard scored 84 points in 36 games (2.33 ppg)
