Yeah, I don’t believe so. If he keeps up this level of play, I would hold onto the foolish hope that they might grant him it retroactively. The kid has great size, not just for his age.

WHL has him listed at 5'11, 158lbs.

I read MH will try to get him 15-20 games, but I agree he's ready for a full season.

Yeah, they can't just limit this kid to 5 WHL games. He's far too good for minor Prep/AAA hockey and he's not even 15 yet. Crazy.

Kinda what Savoie did in Winnipeg and he got 22 games. Medicine Hat will have to petition for him to play past 5 games and partially split the season between playing WHL and Prep/AAA, since he isn't a player with Exceptional Status.

he can play his 5 games and then once his season is over(at RINK academy perhaps???... unsure where he is playing this season) he can join Medicine Hat full time.

I always use Brayden Point as an example for these instances... as a 15 year old he played his 5 games and then joined Moose Jaw when his season ended and played 14 more games with them in the playoffs

I think they're going to limit him to home games for the 5. Until they find a way to exceed that.
