FWIW, there is a substantial difference between NHL preseason and NHL regular season.

As for why Andersson was sent back originally and not Chytil, I think it's because it was pretty clear what Andersson's path was going to be. With Chytil, I don't think they 100% knew what path was best for him, so they kept him along for the ride to get a better idea. Sending him back to a team like Zlin is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy different then sending Andersson to go play with Frolunda. One is a good development team, the other is...not as good.

Please stop.

1G 2A tonight in his second game with the Wolf Pack. Didn't have anything last night, so a few "firsts" tonight.

the more the Rangers lose, the more of a chance he gets called up. I hope he does not go back to Czech Republic. That league isn't Sweden or Finland

Still not a bad league at all for a kid who just turned 18 a couple months ago. It wouldn't hurt his development.

Didn't start the third period.

We'll see if there are any updates. Next game is in about an hour. From the description, it doesn't seem major, but who knows.

EDIT: According to HC McCambridge, it was just a puck to the foot and they think he'll be back very soon.

1+2 today, now 3+5 in 6. Probably an NHL'er right now, could play on our third line, but we aren't any good, so there's no reason to throw him onto the team with a coach who likely wouldn't play him all that much. I'd think the plan here is he plays in Hartford until the WJC, plays at the WJC, and then is called up after the WJC or a month or two after that.

Talk about progress man. A year ago he was barely known, a solid Hlinka showing (where he started on the 4th line btw) made him a possible late round pick... and now he's there in the AHL, producing PPG, with two NHL games under his belt already. Makes me really wonder what season would he have if he was born a few days later and was 2018 draft eligible. If he's doing well in AHL, there's no doubt he would be great in Extraliga.

Has been held out for the last two games. Unknown if injured, though it's probably safe to assume that's the case.

Unfortunately, the Wolf Pack haven't said anything about it, and Crawford/Team Twitter account is usually responsive.

All we know is that he's recently A) trying to take over the planet and B) learning how to drive a car from his teammates.

So if there is an injury, it doesn't seem major and one would think he'd be back soon.

Doing great in the AHL, 9 points in 8 games. Looked amazing preseason

11 points in 9 games after two goals today, Hartford is absolute trash so it’s even more impressive.

I wish he were on a team that had a better shot at winning the tournament. I wonder how many of his games they'll even show.

Maybe they can put together a line like Zadina-Necas-Chytil, and it can be a Laine-Aho-Puljujarvi line. I think they might get a medal, and should be better this year than they usually are.

That Finnish team still had Rantanen, Kapanen and Juolevi. That gave them a good defender and a strong 2nd line. On top of that it was at home and on European ice. I'd think they are notably behind USA, Canada, and Sweden on paper. I have no idea how Russia will look with them tending to heavily depend on 19 year olds based in Russia.

I mostly agree. I think those are the top three, but I think Czech Republic could medal.

I don't think Russia will be that good this year, unless Bragin relies on some younger players, which as you mentioned he rarely does.
