What are they supposed to say? lol.

That's besides the point. Just because someone is well liked doesn't mean they're good at their job. I'm sure Taylor Swift would be a well liked bench boss. To bring this back to Chytil, I don't think Quinn is right for his development and being up with the Rangers will end up changing the trajectory of his career.

Chytil will be just fine

Lol.

Sorry but this is such a horrible take as are the rest of yours in this thread.

He has every right to stay up with the club. He's played well enough.

My hot takes are homerism free. So I'm sure people can appreciate a different opinion when checking these threads out. If you think a 19 year old with great potential, who's now playing an off-position, who looks lost, who struggles in the defensive end, who is fairly unnoticeable side from a play or 2 a game despite playing PP minutes and some time on the defacto 1st and 2nd lines, who's potted 0 goals, and 2 assists, over 10 games, who has now burned a year from his elc, has every right to stay with the club that's perfectly fine. Some people might just want their takes with a little less homerism.

I don't know how many Ranger games you have watched this year but when Chytil is on the ice he is consistently our best player. If he keeps this up the points will start to come

I watch quite a few, but I definitely think you're watching the games with rose tinted glasses if you think he's the Rangers best player.

He played very poorly against the Sharks, and was benched for basically the 3rd and OT, and never showed up in the Shootout.

But ya, teams usually play their best players a team low in ice time. You know to keep them fresh.

Again, I am a huge Chytil fan, but he has been terribly mismanaged, and Quinn is proving to be one of the worst possible outcomes for this player. Chytil in my mind is playing worse than he played last year. And that's a terrible thing.

Outside of the last two games where Quinn gave him next to no chances to play (he gave more minuets to Cody Mcleod) he was playing really well just was getting really unlucky, and the stats backed that up.
As for Quinn we agree he needs to be giving him chances to succeed cuz if he kept playing the way he was the points were eventually going to come, kinda hard to do that when your not playing double digit minuets a game

Didn't really notice him this period outside of a small play he had with Letteri that really wasn't very dangerous. He again had a team low in ice time.

Seriously, Quinn was the wrong coach for this organization during this rebuild phase. Scratching Buch again, benching Chytil. Great way to entice other great young euro's to want to come over. Good luck with Shestyorkin, Rykov, Kravtsov next year if this keeps up.

Can't disagree with you on Quinn having him play with a 4th liner and an "enforcer" is a big mistake. He does have a nice assist on the Hayes powerplay goal.

He was really dynamic today, fell asleep before the third period so idk how he did there but the first 2 periods he was everywhere

Scored his first goal of the season and won first star.

One of his best games this season. The game looks a little fast for him when it comes time to putting the puck in the net or creating scoring chances for teammates. Defensively isn't capable of playing center yet either. He needs to play wing with good offensive line mates.

But we can afford to let him develop on the job. I think he needs more minutes to understand the pace of the NHL game, and how to process everything a little better. Thats not going to happen with under 10 per game with bad line mates who he has to carry on the fourth line, so lets hope he keeps getting more minutes. He played on the first line today. Only got 14 minutes, but thats more than he's been playing recently.

I think yesterday was his breakout game which may lead to more minutes. Hopefully he can get away from playing 6-10 minutes a game with McLeod and Spooner/Lettieri on the 4th line now

Agreed about giving him more minutes.

But believe he's been playing on the 4th to help develop his defensive game more. Listening to Quinn, the organization does see him as a center.

So far you have been wrong. Just about every player that's been scratched, has come back playing much better.

Let the coaches coach.

How so? He got minutes purely out of necessity after injury, and the game he's not relegated to a 4th line role playing 8 minutes a game, he plays well? Was it all part of Quinn's plan for Zucc to not be in the game? We'll see how Chytil is handled after Zucc comes back.

He has not scratched Chytil.

I was responding to your comment claiming he's been a bad hire cause he's made a few scratches.

The players he has scratched, have come back playing well for the most part.

Quinn has been great so far imo. My only problem with him is playing Staal and not scratching him when he sucks (pretty much always)
Quinn is getting Chytil to learn how to do more on his own and is trying to improve Chytil’s defensive game by playing him as the 4C with McLeod

Maybe you are right, but if thats the reasoning, I'd say thats extremely dumb. He also needs to develop his offensive game. He needs to develop into a good NHL'er. I don't think thats best accomplished by being the best player on his line.

Rookies should not be the best player on their line, unless they are a McDavid, Barzal, Pettersson where they are so good that you have no choice.

I do wonder the impact MacKinnon and Bergeron + Marchand had on Rantanen/Pastrnak

vs someone like Tarasenko who had less support

I might be wrong, but I wouldn't be shocked if Chytil went on a nice run in the second half of the season.

You should check the date this was posted...
But before his demotion to the 4th line Chytil was playing really good, he just wasn’t getting the points.
I agree he looked good at points but it doesn’t matter what date you posted because until the most recent game against Van, what you said was not true.

Well good news it looks like he was promoted to the 1st with Zib and Zucc. Hope he takes advantage and cements a top 6 spot for himself.

I think Quinn still likes to give Vets the benefit of the doubt which is why Spooner was getting more top 6 chances than Chytil even though he has been total ass.
