I don't mind how Chytil's been handled, 4th C isn't bad experience for him other than better linemates would've been better. This kid is learning so fast on the job and also adopting his game quickly as well.

He was good to start the season, would've put up some more points if not for Vesey's and Fast's poor finishing ability. At the start he was trying way too hard to stickhandle through defenses and being stopped, now he's playing a simpler game realizing it's not the AHL. He's so good at creating havoc in the front of the net and on the forecheck, he's learning what works and what doesn't playing more and more to his strengths. He can work on his shot, accuracy, and release and add that to his arsenal with time.

Overall I think it's been the right decision to keep him up, he'd be stick handling the ahl instead of learning the speed & grind of the NHL game.

I'm not really sure what his upside will end up being...he's still so young but does a lot of things right, and has a lot of things he could improve. I think ultimately it's going to come down to how well he can finish the chances he creates and is involved in. The 60-70+ point players in general just have a natural ability to finish those chances. Can Chytil do that and become of those those guys? Or is he a more 50 some point player (or less and a guy who does everything but score?)?

Going to be interesting to watch over the next year and more

Man, you're a buzz kill.

21st overall and not even on many experts radar for the first round. Turning out to be one amazing pick. Could have twice as many goals if he wasn't stuck on that damn 4th line for so long

Or he'd still have none and would be failing to develop the rest of his game with his confidence shot, which is what was happening before he was given time to breathe for "so long".

What exactly is "so long" about 7 games or so? Was it even 7? Helluva Odysee. When he got back to the top lines did he find his old hunting dog, weak, underfed and abandoned?:sarcasm:

No chance his time on the 4th line helped him. Not possible.
