Here's how I see the series.

Game 2 is always the most important game, especially if you have home ice and you won Game 1.

Top end forward talent: advantage Leafs.

Forward depth: advantage Bs.

Top end Dmen: advantage Bs.

Dmen depth: advantage Bs.

Goaltending: huge advantage Bs.

Coaching: advantage Bs.

Intangibles: advantage Bs.

Refs: advantage Leafs (but not so much last night).

No excuse to lose this series. Next round it gets a whole lot more difficult, but the Leafs are the best matchup of any playoff for the Bs.

Bruins have to repeat what they did in game one. Walk away from side show clowns like Domi and Bert. Side shows can be effective to draw penalties only if allow them to suck you in. These guys are not that bright. Keefe's game plan failed miserably. Guy is a bright as a one watt bulb. Leafs depend on the refs falling for their act giving them the man advantage.
If the Bruins continue to play a hard checking game they should win this series.

Hardly sounds outrageous.

There is a reason Swayman is getting so much praise. Goaltending was the biggest difference in the game. Leafs had a lot of good scoring chances. Samsonov was not good.

I would imagine Nylander and Brodie will be in the Leafs lineup Monday night. B's need to be ready from the start.

With all the post the Bruins rang pucks off this game was over in the first. Samsonov may not of played great but the Leafs sucked defensively to allow that many looks. Keefe thinks his team can slash their way to glory.

To my ursine brethren and sisters behind enemy lines north of the border: enjoy this one! Monday will be a lot of fun when you go back to work!!!
There are barely 100 people where I work less than 2 hours from Toronto.

And there are more Bruins fans than Leafs fans.

It really is underestimated how many Bruins fans there are north of the border.

I'd really like to see Marchy start lighting it up. He is getting points from assists but we need his goal scoring. Plus it would demoralize the Leafs.
Brad and Pasta are getting too much attention from the Leafs EVERY shift so they won't be scoring as much. The Leafs paid no mind to Jake which they probably regret.

Bs having scoring from others is a good thing

Pretty sure posts and cross bars don't count as goals. And if Matthews shot off the post (with Swayman out of the net) goes in, we may all be singing a different toon today.

Agreed, Bruins got good looks too. But outside of Colye's post from close range, Samsonov was out to lunch on the others.

He and Pasta were getting nailed. I know that is expected. Pasta hits back more this year. Brad handled himself well. Domi is a dirty dope.

I don't worry about Marchand getting hit. Makes him play better. He'll get the better of it before the night is out.

Goaltending is what normally wins a series in the playoffs it was definitely the difference last night, and I expect it will for the rest of this series, just hopefully it’s the Bruins on the good side of it.

Happy for Beecher (TOTALLY AWESOME GAME)

JDB no better time to bring son.

Marron , a 4th cup would look good on him , that would be a record right?

Swayman is a Leafs Blower , fogetaboutit .
A record for a Bruin, not a life long Bruin, so not sure you can call him a Bruin other than the Month he was here.
Many Canadians have 4 or more.

Great game. Was pretty much over in first 2 minutes thanks to Reaves. Maroon already showed us what Hathaway was supposed to be last season.
Scored 5, had another 5 posts! The game wasn’t even close. Now I expect leafs to come out much stronger for game 2, but weather the early storm and they’ll fold like cheap garage sale beach chairs. Gotta play Swayman again, rotating was fine in the regular season, but this is the playoffs. You have to put your team in the best possible position to win. Swayman has confirmed that he owns the leafs with a 35! save performance. You don’t reward a goalie by sitting him next game lol. Especially in favor of a goalie that has way underperformed last two playoffs. If Linus plays & loses, we’re going back to Toronto tied 1-1, no thanks.

BTW, Bennett wannabe Domi better be fined by the NHL and then knocked out off this series by a nice Mcavoy hit for disrespecting our captain. What an ugly mofo. Go Bruins!!

100% correct! I’ve been to games in Ottawa and Toronto to see the B’s play and there are always loads of them. Last season I went to a game in Toronto with a friend and when the Bruins scored he said ‘Look at them all!’ LOL!!!

Good game.
What I found interesting was that the Leafs outshot the Bruins 36-24.
So Toronto outshot the Bruins better defense and Boston relied more on their goalie.
And Toronto's weaker defense allowed less shots on goal, but their goalie was not as good.
Bruins turned to lead protection 17:34 2nd period at 4 zip.

East coast also big on the bruins.

Bruin fandom in Canada? My guess is the Bobby Orr influence.
