While I was dead on about game 1 being a cakewalk for Boston, I am not sure about game 2. If the Bruins weren't pretty bad normally in game 2 at home, I would think they would win another game going away. I'm kind of feeling a 4-2 win (w ENG) after being tied 2-2 going into the 3rd. If they don't have Nylander they will light them up again

I don't think the Bruins PP was even GREAT. It was ok.

If the Bruins PP improves with focus/reps (entries, decisions, puck movement), and THAT PK is the PK for the series, it's over in 5.

Pat maroon has that calming effect in the dressing room. Playoff expert warrior has seen so many situations battles plus what a physical player not scared from delivering a big hit. That hit on lilligren set the tone of the game giving the entire team confidence. I'm excited to watch him again tomorrow.

Pasta has players all over him every shift. This enables other players to have more freedom to score. The Leafs left Jake alone.

The Leafs will do all they can to keep Pasta from getting goals.

It will be difficult for him to get a hat trick when they shadow his every move.
Pasta's best chance to pot some goals tomorrow will be on the PP

Home ice advantage is a thing, especially against the Leafs. Great insight from former Leafs, including Kadri, who said 2013 G7 was the loudest he had ever heard a building.

Great read.

Thought this line was hilarious -

"So, what advice would the former Leafs pass along now?

'Just be yourself,” said Kadri, who finished the 2018 and 2019 series watching from the press box here after being suspended. “I don’t think your game really needs to change in the playoffs.'"

Dear Monty,
The goalie rotation worked neat as a bow tie in 72. We even had a parade at the end.

Yours Truly

But but but, all of the "experts" say that it's never been done. SMH.

No question; Maroon makes a significant positive difference.

Watched a little of the Rangers game today. I'd hate it, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they won the whole enchilada.
They are the most balanced of all PO teams, and their GT is playing at his absolute best at this point.

Great game, Pat Maroon and the fourth line looked great. Maroon on the power play inches from Samsonovs face the whole time is how you set a screen on a power play.

Hopefully JDB stays hot. I come back with Swayman Monday, great game from him. Peake very underrated game, hit everything that moved and just got the puck up and out of the zone, his transition game might not lead to a ton of offense but he did a nice job of being an old school shutdown D.
Everyone is 2 inches taller and 25 pounds heavier with Maroon at the ready.

Not sure he has that effect. Maroon is not exactly feared. He did play a solid game, some hits, was gritty & worked hard to screen Samsonov. Overall good game considering he just returned from injury. But I think your statement is slight hyperbole.

Feared no. But his teammates do know that he’s there to handle anything heavy duty on the other team if they go running around (he’ll hug them to death but whatever it still handles them lol). It emboldens them a little. They don’t have to rely on Trent Frederic to be the default fighter on the team, which is good for both the team and Trent

I'd say rotate the first 4 games, then (if necessary) commit to the hotter goalie for games 5-7.
Agree, basically. I'm only leaving it open for game 4 in case Ullmark looks really bad, or maybe just mediocre while Swayman is spectacular again.

In most scenarios I'd go back to Ullmark in 4.

I like we are going with Ullmark. No matter what happens we'll be seeing Swayman in game 3.
We can change goalies because we have two good ones. Leafs?:sarcasm:

We need to take advantage of them not having Nylander.
I think they are psyched out over his absence.
