That’s because he has no ability to impact a game other than by scoring. Compare that to Marchand who can impact a game in myriad ways. Hell, even tonight he impacted the game by doing Nothing in response to Domi’s antics lol.

Matthews is a big meh for me. 69 goals in the regular season is a great accomplishment, but he did not put the Leafs on his back and lead a charge to try to get back in the game. I hope he keeps it up.
