It will be interesting when Brazeau is healthy. On the one had I'd love him with the two B's on the 4th line. Which means Maroon to the 3rd line.

But on the other hand, Lauko's game was so effective tonight. One of my fave games from him.

It's amazing that JVR, Brazeau, Lohrei, Wotherspoon and Forbort are all waiting in the wings. DEEP.

Sway stole the game. Laffs don’t really have a heavy forecheck at all. Gryz will be fine all series. Shattenkirk looks a little suspect playing his off side with Peeke. But we need him for PP, so would Peeke come out? And Wotherspoon in? They seem to think Peeke can kill penalties, which I’m not convinced of yet. The Laffs 4 on 3 had to score if they wanted a chance. But Sway! They were missing Nylander.
Grizz will be fine against these guys but if they move on to the next round HE'S NO MATCH FOR EITHER FLORIDA TEAM.

Funny I am going to go against many here and say keep the goalie rotation going. Goalies are creature of habit. The habit is a rotation. Change nothing! Just keep on trucking with what they are used to
That make sense, and although I'm leaning towards Sway next game, I don't really care who's in net.....as long as they win

If Ullmark goes in and loses, Monty will be on the hot seat for not sticking with Swayman

If Swayman goes in and loses, Monty will be on the hot seat for not sticking with the rotation

Either way, Monty will be on the hot seat if they lose

..if they win...he'll be a friggin genius, no matter who's in net

It is awesome to have all those guys on standby but you don't fix what is not broken. Stick with this lineup until it falters.

With any puck luck the Bruins win that game 8-1. I was impressed with their forecheck which was much better than I thought it would be, and the energy and physicality (is that even a real word in the dictionary?) were excellent throughout MOST of the game.

Swayman saved their bacon several times, and was definitely the biggest factor in the win tonight. DeBrusk was YUGE, but we've all been watching NHL playoff hockey long enough to know that the Stanley Cup is won and lost on the backs of goaltenders. I'm not saying the Bruins are going to win the Cup this year, but I said earlier today that goaltending will be the difference in this series, and it was the difference tonight. Swayman was the Bruins' best penalty killer on that 4 on 3.

One huge play worth mentioning was Matthews hitting the post with Swayman way out of position. The Maple Leafs' fate was sealed the moment that puck struck the iron in the Second Period.

To my ursine brethren and sisters behind enemy lines north of the border: enjoy this one! Monday will be a lot of fun when you go back to work!!!

I think Toronto will be better next game. Even though they got the first 4 shots they didn’t dominate for long stretches. If they miss Nylander that much they are in trouble, I just don’t buy that. I think they do have some injuries like Marner who hobbled down the last stretch of games I believe.

With that I also think the Bruins will make some adjustments to their own zone to tighten some things up. But the physical play was excellent, nice to see something come from the PP and it was nice to see Jake have a big game like he’s done before vs the Leafs.

Good win Bruins! On to a big game #2
