Carter fighting is certainly some sort of sign of desperation. Not that they'll play that way, but they can feel things slipping. Just hope he isn't hurt for the 3rd.

Carter and Pearson are scoring.

I wouldn't put Kopitar's lack of production all on Sutter. Kopitar doesn't shoot enough and doesn't go to the net with authority.

Brown and Gaborik simply don't have the same level of play anymore.

Toffoli? Hope he has a bounce back season next year.

every team in the NHL has had 5 years to study this system. Put Carter and Pearson on another team and their production would be every bit as good if not better.

Much better period by the Kings.

If you're going to lose games, at least make teams pay physically.

It's a different system from all the other years Sutter has coached in the league before the last few? There's no surprise system out there. Every team has had years to study everything. They've all been done. Just have to execute whatever it is you do. That's it.

Right you are 100%

There really isn't some super secret system. Everyone knows what everyone is trying to do.

The only difference is the players/coach adjustments mid game.

The players make the system, the system doesn't make the players.

I know the team doesn't get to pucks deep or even put it deep enough, but I wish there was more creativity allowed. So, pucks deep at points are good. Pucks deep when it seems like a 3 on 2 could develop? And even then, only stay in lanes on 3 on 2? What about criss cross movement, and challenging the Ducks back pressure every now and then? One guy drive the net, trailer coming, cut to middle, etc. etc. etc. All DS sees is a nifty poke check and the Quacks go the other way!! ENCOURAGE CREATIVITY!!!!!

One problem is the Kings are allowing it.

Did you see that play CLifford made at center ice, and almost turned it over ?

Guys like Nolan/Clifford should be dumping that puck. Except they aren't.

The Kings are stuck in this weird identity crisis.

Well, I agree with u completely. But, I've been telling people for years now that what actually happened in 2014 once the Kings were down in every series is they ****-canned the system, and the rest is history!!
