He took a pretty big hit in the middle of the 3rd. Didn't return after.
Kid has looked terrified to get hit in the NHL. If this is how he's going to be, he's a bust. Way too soft.

Not going to lie; when Quick did the full splits on an early save (around 4 minutes in) I was a little worried.
Happy for the win but they are still 2 wins behind Calgary.
Anyone have a link to the Corsi distribution for this game? Just curious what it looks like from a statistical perspective.

Me too. Caught myself watching behind the play a lot. He looked frequently slow to get up.
My fav is the possession chart, but has all the details:

Hockeyviz is great too but you need a subscription for 'early access' or you can view yesterday's game a bit later (48 hours? I forget).
I was worried about that as well even in his first game but we have to remember 1. he's 20 and 2. Even NOLAN got injured yesterday, Kings and Ducks are two most physical teams in the league and yesterday was downright nasty big boy hockey. That'll be a good experience for him for what to expect. One thing that's good under sutter is he won't play if he's gonna play scared.
Nolan I can understand, just returning from a leg injury and took what looked like a knee on knee knee on thigh kind of hit.
I just can't remember a promising prospect who's looked so terrified out there.

Oh, I don't at all disagree. But having seen him at the AHL level, he's much feistier than he's shown. He'll grow into it. I don't think that fear that we're seeing is a permanent part of his NHL game. He's actually in there starting scrums and raising hell in Ontario. The games he's physically engaged in are usually the ones in which he is best, so I'm looking forward to him being more comfortable.
