Ehh, I don't think that's correct. I believe PLD could sign an offer sheet up to July 5 and then that process takes over from arbitration.

(Anyone correct me if I am wrong with this)
You are Wrong!

And where did u pull the date July 5 th from…..( it smells funny)…

From Anyone!

Here's the list of Boston players with sizeable salary and no NTC/NMC :

Jake Debrusk
Matt Grzelcyk
Charlie McAvoy
There are other players with M-NTC's... it doesn't make them untradeable.

I expect Boston to be very busy cleaning up their roster after the SC ends.

For a 60 pt player he sure likes to cause a lot of trouble
You know there's more to defining a players than just the number of points he's scored, ya?

Describing Marner as a 100pt player wouldn't sum up his defensive or penalty kill play now would it.

The Flames elected for team nominated arbitration last year with Tkachuk….. which bought time and got Tkatchuk to agree to sign long term in Florida. It also prevents any team from presenting an offer sheet.

100% Dvorak is part of this deal. If MTL adds Dubois, a centerman as to go;

Suzuki, Dubois, Dach, Monahan(?), Evans... with Beck, Kidney, Kapanen on the way.

Something like: Dvorak, Harris and FLO first 2023.

Not going to get the option to sign an offer sheet …. The Jets are going to elect for team elected arbitration within 48 hours of the Stanley cup being awarded….. which will put all the leverage back in the Jets hands ….. where it belongs!

The Jets will control fully where PLD plays next year….. which will make PLD more open to signing long term with multiple teams not just 1…. And will extend the trading window until late July or early August….when arbitration cases are held.
They might but Team elected arbitration does not prevent an offersheet. he can still sign one.

If the team elects arbitration, the player can still sign an offer sheet with another team prior to July 5 at 5pm, which would negate the team elected arbitration. The Team must elect the arbitration by 5pm on the later of June 15 or 48 hours after the Stanley Cup Finals ends.

You're right, so you don't have to be corrected.

Its a bad look to force a trade again and not someone I would want to give a leadership role to. I'm sure he is done playing for small market teams so the market might be limited to those big fish teams looking to get a good deal.

Except PLD is atrocious defensively - so points really do matter when you're one dimensional and bad at it

This guy sucks…way too much noise and talk for him for a non-premier player.

Hope he and wherever he goes next remain irrelevant

You had to have me go to the CBA, didn't you?

Here is the CBA: file:///C:/Users/peter.katsabanis/Downloads/NHL_NHLPA_2013_CBA.pdf

Here is a snippet from Page 58:

A Player subject to a Club-elected salary arbitration pursuant to this Section 12.3(a) shall remain eligible to negotiate and sign an Offer Sheet with any other Club pursuant to Section 10.3 of this Agreement by no later than 5:00 p.m. New York time on July 5 immediately following the Club's election of salary arbitration. For further clarity, if a Club has elected salary arbitration on a Player pursuant to this Section 12.3(a), and such Player signs an Offer Sheet by no later than 5:00 p.m. New York time on July 5 immediately following the Club's election of salary arbitration, the Club's rights under this Section 12.3 shall be void ab initio and the Club's rights shall instead be governed by Section 10.3 of this Agreement.

LHD is the last thing the Jets would ask for or take.......Harris likely isn't part of any deal

I do think PLDs history will turn off many GMs. Especially those who are managing teams that in less desirable cities.

Nah. You just can't lump them together like that.

Gallagher is one of the worst contracts in the league. He's done as a player and he's making 6.5M until his mid 30s. That's Ladd and Eriksson levels of toxic waste.

But Anderson is a useful player, and he will be only 32 when the last year of his contract starts. He's fast, physical and will score 20-25 goals per year. You can say he's a little overpaid, but he's not a cap dump let alone toxic waste.
I am more than happy to look at either contract on the Jets' CF page, if it comes to Winnipeg with the fifth overall attached to it. Otherwise, you can keep them and enjoy the production on your home ice. Look at all the 4-year contracts that have been traded recently, and you'll quickly see how terrible Anderson's trade value is. You do not need to convince me of anything that happens on the ice; 30 seconds of looking at the numbers is plenty to know that he's a hideous cap dump for the time being.

Dubois is a medicore defensive player

He has grit and some size but he is not a star and is asking out from his second location in 3 years

He comes off as entitled and whiny not to different than marner who did the same only in his contract negotiations not in terms of wanting out

The irony is that Wpg and Montreal make terrible trading partners. Both have needs at RHD. Habs are rebuilding and not inclined to part with high-value prospects and picks. I really think he goes to another team.

For prospects (other than LHD prospects) i can see the Habs parting with any of the following:

Mesar / Kidney / Farrell and Tuch, FLA 1st and Calgary 1st (in 2025/2026).

I think the Habs covet Joshua Roy, Owen Beck, Barron, Guhle, Mailloux and Xhekaj and they are likely off the table.

His profile is exactly who my Ducks need, but I wouldn't invest in a trade for someone like this. Its so obvious that he has commitment issues. Add that to his nonchalant play when he is pouting and he would be nearly untradeable especially if a small market team was even able to lock him up to a big long term contract.

I hope the Jets get a big return for him because they are a small market team like my Ducks.... but big market teams like the Rangers and Bruins normally get the better side of these type of deals.

It’s funny how hab fans get their panties all wet thinking they have some kind of leverage in a PLD trade. Lebrun is Brissons puppet and only releases the question that he wants the press to know about but doesn’t leak Chevys answer.

Brisson goes to Chevy and says he would like to work on a trade with PLD. What do you think Chevys answer was? I guarantee it was…GMs make trades, agents don’t, climb back in your hole and go screw yourself.

Why didn’t brisson leak what Chevys answer was? The answer is because he didn’t like the answer. Chevy isn’t about to be controlled by some slimy agent. No GM is going to. That would be the first step for any GM to get fired cause that would mean they let the clowns run the players and not the GM. And to think Chevy a going to have to give up PLD AND take back some cap dump like Anderson, Dvorak Gallagher, Armia or any of the waste of skin that play for Montreal is hilarious. He isn’t doing Montreal any favours. He will give him his 6.5m qualifying offer. If he doesn’t sign…arbitration. If he offer sheets Chevy says…please be Montreal we would love to have 1st overall pick next year and cap space. If he doesn’t report PLD is suspended and jets get even more cap space. Trade him at the TDL at 50% . There would be a bidding war. Jeannot got great prospect, a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and likely won’t be resigned by Tampa…so they would have to backup the truck for the haul the Jets would get….and the will be no cap dump in that trade.

Brisson just played his last card cause he knows Chevy has him cornered. You don’t leak a question that you asked and got answered if you had any leverage. Brisson just caused a shitstorm for PLD. Has no affect on the Jets at all.

And for those that think the Jets couldn’t get the 5OA this year for PLD, you are just fooling yourself. That piece of glass reclamation project Dach got 13th and 66th which has around 10th value, Debrinct got 7th. A 6’4” power center is going to bring back 5OA plus Floridas 1st. If the Habs want another favor of including a dump I think Calgarys 1st would have to be added.

Looks like Brisson played his last card.

The Jets won't trade him for futures. Cheveldayoff already said they won't rebuild (he will probably get canned if they do).

Brisson's comments are clear as they can be, i just don't see a lot of teams risking it for a year of Dubois:

"Montreal is a city he would probably … I can talk about it because he doesn't have a contract at the moment - he's a restricted free agent," Brisson told TVA Sports in French, as translated by The Athletic. "Montreal is a place, a city he'd like to play in. That's all I can say about that."

So unless Montreal is not interested, i just don't see him getting traded elsewhere. There's still a possibility, but certainly not a strong one.

CGY 1st is off the table for sure. So are Farrell Mesar and Kidney

It's Harris, Mysak, Tuch, maybe Kapanen, but we are keeping our top10 prospects.

Am I the only one that think teams should stay away? He is not worth it and doesn't seem to want to do the work that is needed.
