I’m pretty sure both LA and Detroit were looking at Andersson in 2017. Are they two teams that could want to add a couple of 1sts and get a player they liked in his draft year?

If we somehow had a 14 and 22nd pick, I would rather not trade up to 9 with those two. I feel like in this draft, we'd get two quality players with more impact than moving up. Dylan Cozens or a similar calibre level of player/game changer would have to drop down for me to consider moving up when we could be drafting two of Newhook/Krebs/Zegras/Broberg/Boldy/Caufield/Suzuki/Seider/Heinola at those spots (granted one of them would probably need to slip to 22 but there are a lot of great looking players at 22 IMO)

I can't wait until the Third round of the playoffs so we pretty much know where we are drafting. Just cause IMO there is a huge gap in draft capital if Winnipeg picks 20ish rather than 28ish and if Dallas can get us 28 vs mid to late second round. Having said that don't wanna rush things cause enjoying the playoffs while not having tachycardia from the Rangers being in them lol.

It will be interesting to see everyone's opinion on here on who we should draft at all these positions.

Three of those can surely happen. I just don't see a willing partner giving up a chance at Dach/Turcotte/Zegras. Im just trying to be somewhat realistic. Just like last year we couldn't get a Dobson and move up again for Kravtsov, but he we landed two pretty exciting dmen in Nils and K'Andre).

What are you willing to trade to Edmonton for a Dach/Turcotte/Zegras type? I've been thinking about it and I feel its gonna take more than Kreider even as incompetent as the Oilers are.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't see it happening

Kakko and Kirby at the draft I would be ecstatic. Have them play together for next 10 or so years, would probably be pretty good.

They get a roster player who helps now and still get to pick in the 1st round.

OF course Kreider has to agree to go there. I'd take a look at Vancouver and Anaheim as well.

Oilers are desperate. Whoever they draft at 8 is likely not the savior to their “We need to keep Connor happy” woes. Would Kreider accept a trade there? If so he’s a prime target for them. Of course not straight up but I think we could make a nice package for the Oilers to make them part with the 8th overall.

It certainly wouldn’t hurt his UFA stock either. Have a big year playing with McDavid and he could add to his salary in a big way.

You’re likely right about Cozens, but Dach has been fluctuating in the 6-10 range for a couple of months now.
