I think Echblad could be the third charm must continue to make the assists against a great Carolina defense.
Also I wish that Maurice would come out and admit that the PP needs work it’s really going to need to help in the series.

Glad he is healthy!
Too bad it comes at the cost of Dalpe though.
Not that much of a trade off between Dalpe and White. White had some excellent back checking moments over the whole POs to in his favour, Dalpe the important goal in game 6 against BOS... guess they are taking the more defensive route.

But Lombo back is a pure game changer! :sarcasm:

Also sucks for fans that apparently the Coyotes cheaped out on their campaigning efforts to get a yes vote. At the end they lost their team because owner has been cheap and greedy

There is no amount of money the Coyotes could have spent to win a referendum against labor unions that went hard in the paint against it. You throw in retirees who were worried about property taxes, and yeah, I think it was just doomed regardless.

The deal they put together was honestly pretty great for Tempe, from what I could see. The owner was willing to finance all of the development, he just needed the city to clean up the toxic dump that was already on the site. City is gonna have to pay for that at some point anyway.

Yeah probably true but the groups against the deal spent $2M on campaigning while the Coyotes spent $250K and decided to rely on volunteers. In this day and age you can't spend like 8x less than the other guy in an election and expect to win.

The Coyotes could have spent 10 million and I bet it wouldn't even have earned them another 2%. The powerful arguments of 'no free money for billionaires' and 'your property taxes will go up if this toxic waste dump gets cleaned up and turned into a lucrative commercial real estate development' aren't gonna convince people who don't care about hockey to vote for a hockey rink.

Meh, they City made a (pretty much) exclusive RFP for the Yotes. If they open it up to anyone, they might get a better deal.

Some other source have it 35K for the No and 700K from Meruelo's businesses. I really wouldn't take the 2M vs 250K as gospel (nor the 35K vs 700K).

That's a fair point. I think if that same referendum comes up for the Cardinals or Suns, it passes, though.

All part of the reality that hockey is a niche sport in the USA.

Likely match ups would be their 3rd line versus Bennett. We will see if they get shutdown again because O Reilly did a number on them.

Barkov vs Aho most likely. Barkov needs to win that or we are cooked.

Lundell Vs Kotkaniemi - Martinook was lights out. We also need to win this head to head.

Eric vs Statsny - please just survive lmao

I know Lombo is a fan favorite, but right now, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

He played the first 4 games of the Bruins series and we went 1-3. As soon as he was forced out of the line up we won 6 straight and cleaned up the Leafs in 5.

Ride the hot hands, leave the line up as is. Lomberg will have his spot back next season, but right now do not mess with what got you to this position.
