Tonight Florida begins its quest back to the Stanley Cup finals and face a formidable opponent in the Carolina Hurricanes of course we know that the real Hurricanes are the University of Miami Hurricanes but we will leave that for another day.

The Panthers will look for Bob Bobrosky to continue his defensive prowess and could be the difference in how this series ultimately plays out.

These teams tend to mirror each other and while Florida has a slight talent advantage Carolina has perhaps better overall depth.

A raucous crowd awaits the Panthers but that should not unravel the Panthers if they stay away from penalties and giveaways and the Panthers have prospered on takeaways and miscues by the opposing teams so far in these playoffs.

Tonight my expectations are based on a gut feeling because Bob has not played against Carolina this year. It’s going to be a curious dynamic as both teams have clear advantages and few disadvantages. Both can shut you down or skate very fast and nullify their very strengths.. we shall see.

I know Smith said some crap years ago about being used to playing in an empty arena when comparing it to the empty arenas during Covid and he was in Rowes doghouse in the second have of the 16-17 season.
