To be the best you have to beat the best. Brindamore not only has his guys disciplined but his players who finally released some interviews are gritty like their coach. They have watched a good amount of film on us and they want the conference championship in a very bad way.
You see in Panther interviews a less serious group. Absolutely dialed in but having a good time being here and Pomo is keeping it light.
So bring it on can’t wait to see how this all plays out.

Don’t know if this has been added or not yet, but it’s a pretty epic troll job.

One team knocked off two Stanley Cup favorites, both stacked with amazing talent. The other team knocked off two pretenders. Which team is more dangerous in a 7 round series. The team that beat Boston and Toronto or the team that beat NYI and New Jersey?

The amount of anchoring to the regular season standings is crazy. I'm not saying we should be big favorites, but how anyone can say Canes confidently is beyond me. Even bad Bob won't leak goals like NJD did.

Canes haven't faced a team like ours yet. They were the better forecheck team in the regular season, but those numbers would include teams that don't do well against that kind of game. They also knew what to do from day 1. We found our game maybe 2/3 of the way into the season and was still the number 2 forecheck.

I just hope we can get the intensity levels back up after a long break. Both teams got the break, but I think we had a lot of momentum going into playoffs and that could reset. Just need some intensity to ramp up and we have the perfect guys to do that and get everyone been into the fight.

I kinda hate that so many pundits are picking the Panthers in this series. I loved the underdog edge, seems like people are wising up to the game their playing (finally).

I love getting Lomberg back, big boost for that 4th line. Losing Dalpe is unfortunate but I do think he was the weakest of he, Staal and White. It wasn't so much of an issue of Dalpe playing bad but the three of them struggled to be cohesive on the ice and that's what resulted in them getting hemmed in their own zone so often.

Long layoff for both teams, expecting a sluggish start as each side tries to figure out the other. I really don't know what to expect in this series, my gut is telling me Carolina is going to do it but the Panthers have defied all logic and odds in these playoffs.

I almost feel like losing in the Conference finals is better than losing in the Stanley Cup finals. Something extra sour about being so close yet in reality you're as close as 30 other teams at the end of the season.

Regardless, the boys are playing some fun hockey so we gotta enjoy this run for what it is no matter what happens.

Let's Go Panthers!!!

While I understand the sentiment about losing in the finals, I still think it is so worth it to just make it there even without winning.

If Canes win it, people will say “they only had to play one tough team out of four” - meaning Vegas or Dallas in finals - and thus they’re fake champs.

If Panthers win it, people will have to admit “they had to go through all the best teams in the East” - and then they’ll complain that we escaped Avalanche who we woulda lost to of course according to them and therefore we’re somewhat fake champs too.

We haven't experienced this since 1996. Twenty-Seven years. I can see the buzz around town. And what a terrific surprise from a team I expected nothing from. It's been a great ride.

The journey has been long and arduous since 1996. Far too long and far too difficult. Boy those dark ages were something huh.

So before the games begin, let us remember those we no longer see around here because they either got Banned, got tired of the people here and chose to walk away, got swept away with life and work, or have moved on beyond the rainbow bridge..

Wherever you are, I hope you are seeing this team and smiling and sharing your energy wherever you are.

Just heard a great story about Gudas

Artturi Lehkonen in a twitch stream told it. Lehkonen in his about 10th game in NHL and Gudas lines up next to him in the faceoff. Gudas looks at him and asks "Who the F are you" then he yells to Lehkonen center Tomas Plekanec in there native language "WTF. Did you bring your kid to work today"
