Slaf really isn't great with the puck on his stick for too long.Hate that Slaf never gets a chance in OT.
Prefers to give minutes to Evans, Newhook.
Damn it.
Same with Laine.

I think Dvo won 3 face offs in OT so it can be justified. And the game Evans had, which wasn't good.
Seeing guys like Dvo or Evans out in OT grates me to no end.. I get it's for faceoffs mostly but still. Gross.
Demidov can't get here soon enough.
I'd take Slaf over Evans, Newhook, Laine anytime.Slaf really isn't great with the puck on his stick for too long.
Same with Laine.
Every regime we have a coach that has sick fascination with the most useless player on the team. And just keeps and keeps and keeps costing the team games.Terrible coaching. Matheson struggled at the beginning of OT so Napoleon throws him out there again. How do you put Laine out in OT when it's all about skating and puck possession, the guy can't skate Marty!!
Also there is no world where Evans should be getting 3v3 icetime over Slafkovsky. Especially after the game Slaf had.
Meh, they're all not good 3 on 3 players. We don't have that many forwards that can actually control the puck.I'd take Slaf over Evans, Newhook, Laine anytime.
Slaf at least has really good vision and makes crisp passes. Laine is hit and miss with that.Slaf really isn't great with the puck on his stick for too long.

I agree. We were getting goal scoring from some guys who have cooled off and losing Heineman has upset the apple cart. Pezz never sees the ice in the third period which means more shifts for the rest of the forwards. The break can't come soon enough. This is one terrible night. Every team we needed to lose won and we only got 1 point.
I could not watch the full game and only joined it after Carrier's goal . We basically never left our zone after that goal. The team battled but we are clearly not "there" yet.
Matheson and Laine in OT...ouch
I no longer think we are going to make the PO . I still want them to try though.
Breath TRT lol Breath! We didn't lose this game because of one or two players. We were outplayed pretty badly, yet still walked away with a point.Every regime we have a coach that has sick fascination with the most useless player on the team. He’s good if he has a lane to the net. But he’s not good if he has the puck on his stick for an extended time and is asked to be a playmaker. 3v3 demands creativity. You shouldn’t put guys out there that "don’t hurt you defensively". It’s shinny, you’re not there to shutdown opponents.Evans is one of the best open ice players on the team, and he won't hurt you defensively either.
I have never liked the dvorak idea though.
Strangely enough fatigue doesn’t apply to other teams.Oh sure...

True.Slaf at least has really good vision and makes crisp passes. Laine is hit and miss with that.
They won't go down without a fight. We will have more weapons and become a much better team when we add Demidov and another forward(hopefully a Dvo replacement). They stepped it up big time in the third we were fortunate to come out with a point.
Not wrong, but I think there's a big difference in attitude. Hoffman was an asshole, I think Laine is appreciated in the room.I agree with someone here saying that Laine is just a deluxe Hoffman.

Agree Slaf > Laine for 3 on 3, not sure that's true regarding Evans or Newhook.

O wait I forgot they travel more. All that time sleeping in planes must be draining I’m telling you
