f*** I'll say it. I was bang on right about this player being a very good add by October 9. Page 3. When most posters pundits were deducing this was a nothing trade or that we lost value.

But its funny that even the telecast we have, guys like Debrusk, Michaels admitted to not thinking this would be a player either. For guys that are being paid to be in the hockey analyst/commentator world they sure don't bring shit beyond being wrong about Donkey Kong and Duck Hunt.

yeah I want a ribbon. ;)

Klim is now alone in 5th place for goals... beyond the big 4 he is next in line lol. Also a +4 so far on the season (Puljujarvi is a team worst -13 for those keeping score at home)
Look at the minutes played as well. Heard Woody talk about how Klim is taking advantage of his situation, would hope that would be a wake up call to a few others on the club as well

Klim could be turning out to be our better than Patrick Maroon addition. With better legs and quicker shot mechanics. Guy gets in really good spots. Has the moxy, legs, and reads to be in those. Plus that clubs can't box him out. Watch highlights and you see an intelligent player slotting, cloaking into openings and needing only a lightning moment to get a shot off. Kostins shot mechanics precludes opponents or goalies reacting much. This is our cheap cannon people. The extra one shot score we wanted.

One of the things I was spotting in October reviewing his career and highlights is he has a good shot and gets it away fast. Thought he had good legs too. But just the replacing the Kassian tough guy was going to be enough to have a role here. He has much more now.

Even at present rate this guy is already 20something goal scorer here and improving. That he's done his best work on a third line and without PP and has 7 goals in 27GP. Wow!

McKenzie's final draft rankings had him at 18 in 2017. And that was viewed as a pretty good draft at the time.

I wish I could find it, but I called 2016 draft, that Puljujörvi would be a dissapointment, he is not what many think he is, and was mentally weak.
And that oilers probably would end up with him, cause it wouöd be so Oilers to draft such a Pääjärvi kind of winger

And I called Draisaitl the best player of the draft at draftday 2014, that oilers should be very happy with that pick.

I know I called Kucherov being a steal 2011 draft as well.

Its so nice to cherry pick your comments.

As it pertains to this org I wish I was wrong more than right. I mean that in refence to such notables as Tambellini, Eakins, Chiarelli, Cal Nichols, Nicholson and unfortunately it doesn't stop there either with the Oilers or the other Edmonton club the Elks. sigh.

Yeah I liked Drai from the start. I never knew a thing about Kucherov. Paajarvi and Omark I had as complete busts. The Days of Hope here weren't that for me.

Such a stupid thing to have invidualists and wingers as a hope. Yes. All of HOPE was wingers, werent they?
Wasnt Lowe and MacTavish suposed to get that...

Well, here we are, and take a look and hold fasten your seatbelt while Holland throws out three 1sts for Erik Karlsson.

I think I said earlier in this thread that he was at a similar age/pedigree/skillset to Nichushkin (without the defense I guess but that can come later) when he got dumped by Dallas/picked up by Colorado and could potentially be a low risk decent reward pickup. So far he's been tracking very well. Hopefully he continues to be an effective middle 6 forward for the next few years and maybe even has that big breakout in 2 or 3 years to become that 1st line forechecking/grinder/goal scoring force.
