Interesting that Tambijevs is sticking with Punnenovs in net. 10 minutes, pretty much constant PK for our team. Stupid penalties one after another.

I think he's saving Merzlikins for the important matches. It would be 3 games in 4 days for him if he played today.

Annnnd here comes the inevitable makeup penalty... One player falls on ice, we must penalize the closest opponent!

First fluent passing play in whole game (coming on PP) ends up in goal.

Lithuanian powerplay doesn't look good but at least Croats are giving plenty of opportunities to work on it.

That Kegalj guy can really shoot it, at this level at least. 2nd in the tournament goal high-glove on a great shot.

Lithuanians taking care of business with 2 quick goals to grab a 5-2 lead in the third. One of their best forwards (2+2 so far in the tournament) didn't return to the game after the collision in the first period. It didn't look all that serious at the time so hopefully he'll be back on Friday. If not - that's a pretty big blow.

Abysmal game. If weren't playing in our maroon jerseys, there would be nothing to enjoy in this one.

Not a particularly impressive game, but it didn't look like they were playing in full gear either, to be honest.

3 wins, 18:0, no reason to complain so far.

Yeah our guys were just going trough the motions,so they need to wake up,because only now are the real games beggining

Austrians have more shots on target than our boys. The same Austrians that mustered six attempts on Belarussian net. Everything is there to play for.

Latvia haven't played Belarus or Denmark so the toughest is yet to come but I must say I've been very impressed, not giving up a goal in 3 games is tough no matter what kind of competition you're playing against.

Looking forward to see them battle against Belarus and Denmark for promotion

Is Abols standing out at all?

He is. He is a big man who skates well.. These are things you won't see that often. It's been the first time I saw him play in the match against Poland and he really caught my eye. Had to look him up, was surprised he's only 17.

I think he should had moved to the CHL in the summer if he had an opportunity, I guess he would've been drafted due to the old "you can't teach size" thing.
