I don't have a problem with Poland getting the tournament, but not in a year which the whole team is so young that there is a good chance they will get relegated.

But every year Poland will be in the D1A they are likely to be relegated. Team this year might actually be better than last year, so it won't get much better than that. At least people get to see D1A hockey because they may not get another chance for a long time.
Meanwhile Poland scores two goals in a matter of seconds and it's 4-2 now. Denmark - not impressive at all.

I understand Eller tries to play with and edge and so on but this is ridiculous. What is he doing, trying to beat a record for stupid minors taken?
Latvia looking notch above Denmark and Belarus with their goaltending and depth on offense,and now a new player coming in as mentioned

Yup.
Haven't seen Belarus so far, but the Danish team looked pretty weak defensively. With our depth offensively I think we're going to be slight favorites against them at the very least.
Belarus seems to be generating a lot of shots, but then again they've conceded 4 goals against underdog teams.
The next game day will be more revealing, as Belarus will face Denmark and we'll actually face a semi-decent opposition for the first time.

I feel confident enough about our team to say even more than that - with the best possible lineup and a decent coach/training camp we could make the play-offs (yup, top 6) at this year's WJC. Well, at least if we ended up in Group A.
Just look at the Slovakian or Czech lineups. Looks at their offense. WE. ARE. BETTER. They are absolutely unimpressive. Faksa/Dano haven't really been progressing since the last year. A couple of somewhat talented guys here and there, but that's about it.
Looking at goalies is pointless, we're probably better there than bottom-tier men's teams at the Elite level.
Why does it always happen? Why do we end up in Div I when we actually have a competitive lineup?
Win Div1 or not, all of this talent is wasted.Hurray for getting steamrolled by the Canadians again after a couple of years. And so the cycle continues.

Croatian bet company is suggesting that Belarus is favourite over Denmark !? 1.90 on Belarus victory, 2.70 on Denmark victory. Interesting...

Not a big surprise. But I still think Denmark will win that one. I am more worried about Latvia.
Not that interesting. That's about 55:45 or 60:40 implied probability. Belarus have looked slightly more convincing so far, while the last showing by Denmark wasn't impressive.

Yeah, Belarus seem to be a really good, puck possession team. Their goaltending isn't spectacular and defense largely untested but they can really give it to Denmark in the O-zone.

The Danish Teams explanation was that the Polish did not want to play hockey, but fight..And that what was most important was the win. They are still confident they can beat both Belarus and Latvia...
I don't buy that, just a bad excuse for a horrible performance...And I think Denmark will end up 3rd just as last year..

Exactly, this team very much reminds me off Danish team last year. They were supposed to be good but never really were. I'm beginning to wonder maybe it's the expectations that are wrong, maybe Denmark isn't all that good in the first place.
And with that in mind, last year Belarus had beaten Denmark 4-1 and shots were 50-23. Considering this Croatian betting company is spot on with it's odds. It may even would make sense to bet an Euro or two on Belorussian victory.

The talent is clearly there...
Whether we are overrating them or not is dificult to answer...
However we should be better than the game yesterday showed, that much we do know...
I guess only the next few games can tell, I am personally not expecting anymore than a 3rd place though.
