I was just thinking about that. Imagine in two seasons:Marino's also the perfect partner for Luke Hughes too, he'll be the RHD version of Siegs.
Could be the lineup at the end of the season even lol.I was just thinking about that. Imagine in two seasons:
Siegenthaler - Hamilton
Hughes - Marino
Okhotiuk - Nemec
And this is why we let him go. Huges is a better Smith. We just don't need Smith.
A young Bobby Holik is just what this team needs.Send Severson and Blackwood to Hartford for Bobby Holik and a 2nd round pick
far worseSounds like the talk of a sour Brown man.
Edit: shit, university, university, I swear.
I'm trying to think...is there anybody like that in the league today?A young Bobby Holik is just what this team needs.
O'Reilly probably gets the closest.I'm trying to think...is there anybody like that in the league today?

Yeah...but your right the Devils could really use a guy like that...I suppose that's how they are positioning Nico...like an O'Reilly?O'Reilly probably gets the closest.
As you're well aware, I couldn't give a watery shit about Blackwood at this point. He's a goner pretty much next year anyway. Especially when you see how close to the cap we now are. We're not gonna pay him $3-$4 a million, on top of Vanecek getting something like $3-$4 (he isn't signed yet) being a cap team, unless he has a GREAT season. Something just average or a bit above average isn't gonna cut it. So he's more than likely about as gone as Severson at this point.Send Severson and Blackwood to Hartford for Bobby Holik and a 2nd round pick
It all depends what Fitz's thinking. Severson is definitely on his way out whether it's now or the deadline, preferably now because getting a forward for him would be awesome. Graves is probably traded depending on this team does. If they're good and holding a playoff spot down I don't see why not keeping up for a playoff run unless someone wow's us at the deadline for him which probably wouldn't happen anyway lol
Those guys didn't play a single NHL game. Even elite prospects aren't 100% sure things. When Hamilton, Nemec and Luke are all here (could be as soon as the end of this season) Ty's offense becomes redundant.
And Eric Weinrich . Who honesty was one of my favorites then. I had followed him since was at Maine. As you're well aware, I couldn't give a watery shit about Blackwood at this point. But we also need somebody else able to play goalie, someone that's NHL caliber, Daws certainly is not at this time and won't be this upcoming year.
I know Blackwood is merely a reference to Sean Burke in your scenario.
We can do some damage this year depending on Hughes and improved coaching. If Hughes stays healthy and ikeeps improving this year at the rate and on the trajectory he displayed from last December to this spring; with the additions we have made to date and new coaching - we are a sort of “wild card” hand, not in the sense of “wild card playoff spot.” Hughes is the joker in the hand. He had games and even stretches when he was dominant (not too strong a word) last winter. This season holds interest as of now.Everything still rides on Luke and Simon from my point of view. We're gonna still need a few years to see it blossom...but this year is no doubt going to be the beginning.
Of Gardiner, Maine. Kennebec County’s own.And Eric Weinrich . Who honesty was one of my favorites then. I had followed him since was at Maine.
I just want to see an overall better brand of hockey. We can do some damage this year depending on Hughes and improved coaching. I just don't see a scenario he's here longer than this season and more specifically passed the deadline. We aren't going to be pay our right side in excess of 20 million per year which is probably what it would cost.Nice surprise today. We don't have to talk about Ty Smith's gamebreaking gaffes anymore..!
But why must this mean automatically Sevs is out, can't we keep good things?

That 2nd round pick turned into Jay Pandolfo.A young Bobby Holik is just what this team needs.
