Hey Cameron to Charlottetown would be beautiful coming from this Islanders fan. He has proven he can win at this level. And i think he would do wonders for Chlapik for the record

Define "proven". He's never won anything. Look at the list of junior players who've played under Cameron. None of them amount to much at all.

They took a Hoffman off the first unit and replaced him with guys like Chiasson.

That's what happened.

Well, I was more asking why the PP strategy changed.

I think we all can agree that playing Alex Chiasson on the PP has some correlation to how bad the PP got.

Later Wamsley, you're a big reason Lehner won't be a franchise goalie in Ottawa, and I resent you for that.

Also happy Smith stays on the organization, if people remember I wanted everyone gone but Smith and I guess that happened.

What's the benefit of mentoring and developing players if your team just can't get **** done with all the great players you've developed?
I mean it could work for AHL as your goal is to develop players there but for NHL it makes no sense.

That's basically what Murray hoped would work here. He raided a great farm team and made it a non-contender. He made a great NHL team a non-contender!

We've been asking for new blood, we got it. Let's hope Dorion finally picks a real coach and not promote within the ranks like Murray's revolving door of tricks!

The powerplay sucking all season was embarrassing. You had the best offensive defenceman the game has seen in 30 years, you have a former 30 goal-scorer, a current, on-pace, 30 goal scorer, a solid centre and last year's Calder runner-up and you couldn't do anything with it?!! Ever the 5-on-3's stunk.

And the great Chiasson presence in front of the net

We should have been top 10 at least

Seriously there was a major problem with the PP like you said but I think the defense gong show was worst

sadly

The extra weird thing about that is that our Power Play looked really good for like the first 15 games or so this season.

Then it looked sort of ok...

... then the wheels came off after ~game 25 or so, and was a 5-alarm tire fire for the rest of the season.

Like, what happened?

I think we got too passive and also I think teams figured it out. They study tapes for a living so if you don't adjust it's kinda easy to counter the PP. We kept the same recycled thing all year long, kept Bobby on the RW when he should go LW for one timers, move the puck more, put Hoffman on the 1st PP he attracks defending players with his bomb, but no, we never adjusted, and this is costing him his job.

Ok, I get how this had to happen, but the long now longer list of coaches being hired and fired is COMPLETELY embarassing. The organization (dorion and everyone else still here who were a part before) should be very embarrassed.

AND they better get it ****ing right this time. ie. Hire Julien(got to believe he's been contacted already somehow).

He transformed a terrible St Mike's team into perennial contenders almost immediately after getting there, despite the team either always trading away it's high picks (1st rounders) or having late 1st rounders due to the fact that they were always winning when Cameron was there. Cameron was able to turn teams full of total rando nobodies (plus Cal Clutterbuck, the most Dave Cameron player in history) into a legit team.

He's proven.

Out of curiosity, why do guys you want Julien? Not saying he isn't a good coach - just wondering how you think he will be an upgrade on Cameron. If you were a Bruins fan and witnessed the team choke down the stretch for two years straight you might be singing a different tune.

We have no system, Julien has coached some of the best structured hockey. Hoping with this teams offensive abilities, and Julien implementing a non embarrassing PK, PP and good transition play the sens can become a top team.

Bruins choked both seasons because Sens made them to. If he coaches Sens there will be no team to make his team choke* #logic
Oh, and he made leafs choke in game 7. That goes a long way.

* unless Bruins hire Cameron

97% of coaches are hired to be fired. Every team tunes out their coach eventually.

If Julien comes here and puts in 5-6 great years, I'll take a year or two rough ones at the end. It's more than most teams get out of their head coaches.

So Ottawa beating Boston in the final game and not "tanking" might bring us Julien. Funny how that could work out. Could make that tank thread look even more pitiful.

Not only no system, no direction either. What is this team, by definition, other than really streaky? Certainly not hard to play against, not hard to score against, decently hard to defend against, I guess, so there's that...

Boston lost 9 of their last 12 games.

There was a lot more to their collapse then the 82nd game
