If you've been watching his posts, you'd understand.

I have and I do understand your point. Being logically inconsistent from time to time is just part of being human. I mean, we're all here because we all happen to irrationally follow a hockey team that never wins. But I can't stop being a fan even if it's to my own emotional detriment.

Well said, I couldn't agree more.

I am not sure what lockdown means in Ontario, but here it means you don't go to any home except your own.
You don't bring home a virus from a party because you aren't at a party.
Only people permitted in your home are the permanent residents of your home. Except to individuals who live alone who can designate 2 individuals to visit. The same 2 not Bob and Carol one week Ted and Alice the next.
You don't do anything except go out to get essential goods, while you are masked and social distancing.
If required you go to your job, although anyone who can should work from home as requested by the provincial government.
That is what's supposed to be happening in the regions that are locked down. They are only to be going out for work and essentials. If you look at the map that was recently posted a lot of people in the GTA aren't listening. They are also going to other regions to shop.

Due to that the rest of southern Ontario will be affected by having their regions change restrictions.

Well, we don't have the concentration of people here SW Ontario does, but here the Premiere locked down the province.

Can't see it working when a locked down person can just go and take his virus to an unlocked zone.

Looking forward to the vaccine, and if one doesn't take it after our family has had it and it has percolated a bit I'm fine.

Most people are looking for some advantage, so if getting the vaccine becomes part of a requirement better still.

You’d have to take those for a long period of time, I don’t know how long but at least as long as the virus is prevalent.
I think that’s between you and your doctors.
Elderly and vulnerable should take it now, though.
You would only take it if you get sick or are showing symptoms (like taking an antibiotic for a bacterial illness), and once you fight it off your antibodies will last as long or longer than from the vaccine.

I mean for the trials they chose healthy people with minimal or no symptoms (which basically would self-resolve in 14 days or less), and give them 2 shots of vaccine 21 days apart, and then check for illness at the 28 day mark.

What exactly does this tell us about the effectiveness of the vaccine at preventing anything? Nothing, essentially.

Covid-19 Vaccine Protocols Reveal That Trials Are Designed To Succeed

"One of the more immediate questions a trial needs to answer is whether a vaccine prevents infection. If someone takes this vaccine, are they far less likely to become infected with the virus? These trials all clearly focus on eliminating symptoms of Covid-19, and not infections themselves. Asymptomatic infection is listed as a secondary objective in these trials when they should be of critical importance.

It appears that all the pharmaceutical companies assume that the vaccine will never prevent infection. Their criteria for approval is the difference in symptoms between an infected control group and an infected vaccine group. They do not measure the difference between infection and noninfection as a primary motivation.

A greater concern for the millions of older people and those with preexisting conditions is whether these trials test the vaccine's ability to prevent severe illness and death. Again we find that severe illness and death are only secondary objectives in these trials. None list the prevention of death and hospitalization as a critically important barrier.

If total infections, hospitalizations, and death are going to be ignored in the preliminary trials of the vaccines, then there must be phase four testing to monitor their safety and efficacy. This would be long term massive scale monitoring of the vaccine. There must be an indication that the authorized vaccines are reducing infection, hospitalization, and death, or else they will not be able to stop this pandemic.'

These protocols do not emphasize the most important ramifications of Covid-19 that people are most interested in preventing: overall infection, hospitalization, and death. It boggles the mind and defies common sense that the National Institute of Health, the Center for Disease Control, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, and the rest would consider the approval of a vaccine that would be distributed to hundreds of millions on such slender threads of success."

Imagine being engaged and having to social distance while outdoors. And don't even think about seeing each other indoors. Yeah right, no rule-breaking going on there. lol!

It’s unreal

Messaging from big box stores

Summer: We are limiting hours for your safety so we can do enhanced cleaning.

Now: We are extending hours for your safety so we can spread out how many people are in the store.

I’m sure this had nothing to do with saving on labour costs up until they got a chance to be pigs at a trough.

Not all big box stores are like that for one.

The sad reality is that tens/hundreds of thousands of people were allowed to die horrible deaths or be hospitalized because of political posturing. Any way you slice it, this is murder.

This is where your narrative starts blending fact from fiction.

Having read both sides of this subject and reading peer reviewed articles and studies, there were very real concerns about this, and how affective it was, and when it should and shouldn't be used.

It doesn't make it murder or criminal, or even political for peolle who are in the field to have different opinions.

Difference b/w ON and QC lockdowns

QC: They did random checks; and if your driver's liscence (or any ID) did not match the address OR if you were found with someone else in the car besides your family you were fined. Not sure if this is still being done.

ON: most of it is lip service; there is no enforcement; people do not care anymore. Eventually one of two things will happen. Someone in someone's family will get seriously sick or worse dies; and they will have to live with it for the rest of their life; OR nothing happens to their family may be everyone is asymptomatic

I think Jan-Feb will tell us what will happen.

I could care less on if he had a license or not. He is still in the wrong by letting people dine in when only takeout is allowed.

You have it backwards.

He had every right to operate his business as normal - and the police had no business being there to enforce an unlawful mandate that they don't even have the right to enforce.

as much as it is someones decision to not wear a seat belt, drive under the influence, or other forms of breaking the law.

my Italian side of the family (wifes side) are having a 20+ person Christmas dinner. They don't care.

My Finnish side of the family (my side) are following the rules. I guess the Finn side is the dumb side, and the Italian side is the smart side....right?

Yes it's the number one spreader. I haven't had anyone over to my house except my mom as she lives alone. With cases rising here in Niagara we will be just having my mom over and that's it.

you're breaking the rules man

not acceptable

lockdown means that except for a few odd businesses, pretty well everything is open as usual

and the ironic side is my MIL has COPD and is on oxygen and my FIL is 5'2" and weighs 340lbs. You can't write this kind of comedy.
