Speak for yourself. I probably fall into the category of younger and I still see the point in following the guidelines. I want to play sports and live with the freedom we once enjoyed. To get to that point again, I understand I need to make concessions to help those who cannot live freely with this kind of a virus going around.

They don't give a f*** about me as an individual and they shouldn't. In the case of a unprecedented pandemic they should care more about the collective. As crappy as it is sometimes to follow these rules, we need to in order to help the weaker links in society.

To me this has nothing to do with 'turtling in my shell', personally I'm not scared of COVID, but I am scared of being stuck in this mess longer than I need to be. To ensure that won't happen I'm not going to go out and add to the already outrageous rate of spread.

No I don't believe it, 'will all end if we just listen'. I believe if we listen less people will be infected and therefor less people will die by the time this is all over. It' going to end, I just want as many people as possible to be there to see the ending.

History's great I've also studied it...

No. You are only supposed to be with your household only. You can add a person that lives alone. That person can only join your household and can't join anyone elses. I still don't what is so complicated with that.

Why are you so confused? I will give you an example. For Christmas its just my household and my mom is joining us as she lives alone. Since she is joining us she can't go to anyone else's house.

Whats so hard to understand?

Its not what the woman was saying. Are they not Dr's? Sure they may be social distancing, but they are indoors not wearing a mask I don't see a mask anywhere, yet they ask us to wear them even while outside.

I'm sure it was just an innocent oversight. I mean, they are the ones telling us what we can and cannot do from a script they haven't read.

Local travel was a bad term for the tweet, very misleading. Watch the announcement though, it's about utilizing the local businesses around you, not traveling to new local businesses.

This is all a sham.

They locked down a province with 140 cases daily but we are over 2000 a day now and they are only doing small lockdowns. If this is as serious as they state, why are they keeping other regions open? They are aware that 95% of the population in our province has access and means to travel. Which means they can go to other regions to do what they cant in the region they are in!!!

Also, why does the government keep insisting this will be going away because vaccines are here? Have they past a legislation that I am not aware of that you must take the vaccine to live in Ontario? Ford does understand that at least half of his province's population have stopped vaccines all together? Why does he think that will change now?

I am a Covid denier thank you very much, in that I deny Covid access to my body by properly wearing a doctor recommended facemask and by following all local and federal health recommendations.

I truly believe what is going on with this pandemic. I am following the rules but I dont agree with how the government is dealing with things.

This is my issue. Ford has gone on an extended Christmas break and Toronto is supposed to come out of lockdown this coming Sunday. So what is going to happen? Its Wednesday, are they not going to let people know the plans of the province.

Where is Trudeau with all of this. He seems to be more worried about Global Warming. So whats the deal?

This is a provincial scenario.

Can you imagine if the Federal Government tried to tell the provinces how to run their Health Care.

But world leaders alike are all involved in their countries decisions. The only places it is not, is Canada and the US. Provinces and states make their own rules.

So a president or prime minister have the right to send their countries to war and kill many of people. But they cannot step up to save many lives?

Well, I believe they could enact measures and take over health care, but that would turn out worse you'd have a much larger group denying every safety practice because it is coming from the Federal Government.

If people were rational it would be different.
I bet there are people still refusing to wear seatbelts because it was legislated.
There are lost causes.

in Canada/USA both were formed by territories merging together so it ended up defining which governmental bodies control which... the countries are basically sports leagues

provinces have complete control over health care so the feds just make sure the provinces have the resources they require

thats why when you see trudeau talking about health care it's usually about PPE, vaccines and logistics stuff that they can pay for that helps but does not intervene in the healthcare itself.

It can be changed and the government can likely exert it's power to change it, but all it will start is a huge constitutional mess... a political mess nobody wants to start.

I understand your points and they are spot on. But in the case of a worldwide pandemic, you would think the Federal government would step up and do something other then showing the money.
 
Here is a major reason the "cases" are spiking (although a positive PCR result alone does not in any way indicate or suggest a Covid illness or infection). This is important for everyone, especially at this time of year.
