I walked into a popular home decor store last weekend. Not a "big box" store. They sell window accessories like blinds, curtains, amongst hundreds of other decor items. A well known place for decades. "Essential"? No. But it's open. Along with all retail electronics stores whether they are big box or independently owned - they are indeed open. Mom and pop grocery stores are open. Donut shops, convenience stores, everything. The only places I have seen closed are barber shops, salons and gyms. Restaurants are all open, you just have to order at the door and wait for them to make it for you, then take it out. It's all open.

Do yourself a favor: leave your home, and go look for yourself. You're locking yourself up and watching too much "news" which is skewing your information

My Finnish side of the family (my side) are following the rules. I guess the Finn side is the dumb side, and the Italian side is the smart side....right?

I am sure you are being sarcastic, but since there are a lot of people who know little about the "rules", that is actually not breaking the rules.

If they live on their own, and don't jump from household to household, then they are allowed to join with another household.

The issue is when they jump from group to group or household to household. Coming into contact with different people all of the time. If you are only coming in contact with the same people, then it does not matter.

oh ok. the isuuse is from group to group and household to household.

what happens if we jump from group to group to group or household to household to household? Am I "allowed" to do that instead?

No. You are only supposed to be with your household only. You can add a person that lives alone. That person can only join your household and can't join anyone elses. I still don't what is so complicated with that.

I don't live in Toronto or Peel so I would have no idea. They are supposed to be doing curbside or takeout only. If what you are saying is true then no wonder all of you saying lockdowns don't work.

Too many people living too close together in Toronto and Peel ... it is condo city .. people on transit, people going up/down elevators, too many people living in smaller spaces so no ability to quarantine in true sense ... it is a recipe for mass infections ... unfortunately not much most can truly do about it .. and it is why it has really hit da poorer folks in GTA ... hard for people to live in their 700-1,000 sq ft boxes for months on end

So has everybody in the province been tested by now? With a 40,000 a day average and almost a year into it we must be close.

You’ve decided that “they” can tell you what to do. I’ve decided I don’t give a f***. I’ve been living my life the last 9 months and I’m still waiting for my ventilator lol

You can choose to keep playing their game. You’ve been babbling on for 9 months. I’m sure 9 months from now you’ll still be whining. I’ve decided I’m gonna laugh at your continual whining hence forth.

And it actually fuels my happiness that me living my life bothers sheep like you. Lol

Enjoy your “new normal” I’ll enjoy my freedoms while I still can.

That's unfortunate, the bolded will likely mean less freedom for everyone as the virus continues to spread. Keep taking one for the team....

I honestly find it slightly funny but mainly disheartening when I see posts like the one above. People often to the government as some big ominous "they", there are usually connotations that the government has some kind of special agenda and that their goal is to take away peoples personal liberties, etc. I find it funny because the demographic that 'laughs' at those following the governments agenda, are often times following an agenda of their own; one that is all about the individual and not the group. This train of thinking will lead to more cases, more quarantining, more 'freedoms' interrupted, etc. It's all and all backwards to me.

Your train of thought will lead to more gov’t control because you think they actually give a f*** about you.

it’s great that my thought process sadness you. Yours TERRIFIES me. The fact that this weak ass virus has all you all turtling into your shells is embarrassing.

Maybe some of us don't want to get sick. I've already lost a family member from this. I've been living my life. Only difference is when I'm in public I stay from people like you and wear a mask.

It is SAD but it is reality ... we all can see it, if you are honest with yourself, in your homes and friends homes ... lets be brutally honest MOST younger folk quite frankly don't see da big deal ... unless of course they see their grandad or dad get it ... then they get it but often it is too late ... this is not just my house but most of ours too

No you haven’t. You spend your days crying and trying to dictate people’s actions to them here. Although maybe you used to do that as well? Just on a different subject now.

Just so you know I am practicing what I preach. My family has decided to keep it to our household. My mom will come over as she is alone.

I'm sick and tired of all the name calling and condisending remarks from many of you. I have been trying to civil conversations but all I get in return is " stop preaching since you don't practice what you preach" or "I laugh at sheeple like you". We can have our different opinions but the name calling and condisending remarks aren't needed.

First of all you don't know me at all. I do live my life,. I go to work, make my big bucks, get groceries like I always have, go to out eat like I always have. The only difference is I wear a mask and keep my distance from people.
