Dead last in the league. That is pathetic. Ottawa is laughing now….they get the last laugh.
Thought the scouting report was weak glove hand. Watched the goals on NHL.com and the Seattle announcers were saying it. Doubt he can fix it soon enough.
Seems to be that our goalies start to suck around Christmas.... Second year in a row....

After a real promising start to the season the wheels are starting to fall off again, where neither goalie has been reliable.
Don't hold back! Here’s my valuable insight as to how our two goaltenders are faring.
They both suck.
The end.
It's a crisis.Since December 15th:
Leafs = last in Team Save Percentage
Leafs = 1st in Expected Goals Against.
Playing great defensively, and can't buy a stop.
This feels familiar.
It's a crisis.
Let's take it to the main boards!

For sure. Ottawa is playing great hockey with all their stars. They are gonna be trouble in the playoffs like their fans said preseason.Dead last in the league. That is pathetic. Ottawa is laughing now….they get the last laugh.

Consistent? Hasn't he been worthless the last 5 years? All Murray has to do is maintain his consistent career .912 and the Leafs will be more than fine. He was awful last night but that clearly doesn't define who he is a player. Samsonov is still a young guy going through ups and downs of development. We've seen him at his best, and at some suboar games. He'll be fine too.
There's not a goalie in the league who doesn't go through at least one rough patch a season. Folks should take a couple steps back from the ledge to say the least

Im guessing he’s thinking that neither can carry the workload of a regular NHL starter. It might be a good idea to find room for another goalie and go with a three man rotation, or maybe they dx Murray with another injury and LTIR him from Feb 2- March 11I said this a few games ago, but I think it's playing out and needs repeating.
I'm not a fan of Keefe alternating them every single game. I think it doesn't allow either goalie to get into a groove. If they have a good game, they have to wait 5 days to see their next game and continue the roll. If they have a bad game, they have to sit around thinking about their poor performance for 5 days before they can attempt to rebound.
Goalies need to play multiple games in a row. I get you don't want to burn one out or have one too cold, but you can accomplish that by picking a #1 and going 3 or 4 straight with them, then putting in the other guy for 1 or 2. That way both guys are relatively fresh, but the "starter" has a chance to get in a proper groove.
I don't think it's a coincidence that Samsonov's best stretch was when Murray was out and Samsonov was getting consecutive starts, while Murray's best stretch was when Samsonov was out and Murray was getting consecutive starts.
Sounds about right. 15th overall is pretty much where I expected them to be. Earlier in the season they were too good and now they're too bad, things are just averaging out. I'm guessing we'll be in the 10-15th overall range by the end of the year which would be just a bit over average, in the .912-.914 area.Since December 1st the Leafs sv% has dropped .885 % (which is 30th ranked).
Both Leafs goalies use to have sv% > .920.
&
The Leafs use to be 2nd overall in team best save %, but as of today they have dropped to 15th and sit at .909 sv% on the season.
