I’ve always been in favour of re-signing Boeser, as I just don’t see him as easily replaceable. But if he’s going to walk, I’d prefer us to try and recover assets and replace him on the roster.

I’m surprised nothing has happened with Suter. With the rumors that he is either asking too much or not talking contract, and the price players like him are getting, I thought for sure they’d try and flip him for an upgrade.

I agree replacing him will not be as easy as has been talked about. Lots of Nikolaj Ehlers getting thrown around, he won't be signing with us. It would be more like trying to replace him with a 2nd tier free agent and it would suck

How many players have the other teams in the West playoff chase traded?

Out of Vancouver/Calgary/St.Louis/Utah we’re literally the biggest seller right now by virtue of the Soucy move.

Aquilini is a douchebag but our current decision making would be happening with basically any owner. It continually boggles my mind that video-game playing fans don’t understand this shit.

Because mgmt likely focused on acquiring Norris or Cozens and couldn't get a deal done.

Spent too much time (again) on acquiring one specific player they couldn't pivot in time.

I find it complete bullshit they couldn't trade Boeser given some of these prices.

It's so Canucks that the team is mediocre as ever, at the most crooked deadline for sellers as ever, and they pretty much do nothing.

Trouble is, it seems like there are a ton of teams with a lot of cap space to spare, the value of cap space will likely be deflated at this point.

It was a concern of mine going into this deadline. Still, not being able to utilize it is still something management has to wear.
