What a dumpster fire that Rooney/CON/Tomlin are turning the franchise in to. No qb, poor coaching and scouting, big spending on 3rd and 4th contracts.. This team isn't competing for championships, they are spending to keep the status quo.

Listening to ESPN radio on the way home from work and they mention Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers as a possibility. I literally yelled NO, NO, NO.
I love the DK move. Slay meh whatever. The OL stinks and they are looking at a lateral move at best at QB.
I was ready to move on from Harris before last season. Still have to many question marks right now.,

Steelers spending 1st round picks on the two weakest QB draft classes of this century would also be criminally stupid lol

That's part of the reason I dislike the Metcalf thing.
I hate giving up a 2nd round pick in a draft deep in DT and RB which both are badly needed.
I hate paying a WR $30 million per year to primarily block in Tomlin’s risk averse bullshit offense.
No matter what they do this off-season, it won’t matter because Tomlin is incapable of winning in the modern NFL.
Arthur Smith with these two WRs and some shitty QB like over the hill Russ or Rodgers is a recipe for a 9 win season…
They went from having a ton of cap room to probably being out of cap space once they extend Watt and overpay some bullshit QB.
This off-season is all about selling more hopium to the idiot yinzer fanbase.

f*** everything this team does.

To be honest, I'd probably have him as WR3 over Austin. Lazard actually has good slot receiver size.

I mentioned though that Steelers use 3 WR formation the least amount in the league. Why would we do this when we already have 2 slot guys that we don't use in CA3 and R Wilson?

You: drops in signaling comment out of nowhere.
Also you: Let's agree to disagree

This is a discussion forum buddy. If you post something people are going to respond to it and talk about it

Thanks, forum police.
I just said: hey we're not going to agree on this topic so let's not pollute it for the rest of the group. It's forum politeness 101 which you apparently are not familiar with since you don't practice is.

But here you are sticking your nose in. I have no idea what I did to you but the fact you chase me around on various topics is weird AF. Send me a PM and let's hash it out. Otherwise, get off my nuts and let the adults talk

PS- the discussion was about broadcasters so I made a relevant comment about <checks notes>...BROADCASTERS. Please try to keep up. But it's probably hard since this is the written word and we aren't using markers or crayons.

I know we’re hoping the young guys take a step forward this year, but would any QB be thrilled to play behind our line either?

Well here's a sobering stat, barely anyone takes a step forward after a promising rookie year on this team.

Benton, JPJ, even KP. This list goes onward.
So whatever hope you had for Fantu or the other rookies who show signs of being a player will promptly be coached out with what is the weakest Asst Coach group in the league- and I'm not being hyperbolic.

Ownership and Mikie think NHALS = Playoffs lottery ticket and that a playoff lottery ticket = a reasonable chance at a SB victory. I assume they also think the odds of winning the Powerball are reasonable also.

It’s tough to run 3 wr sets if you play with 2 nfl wr

CA3 isn't an NFL WR? That I take issue with.
And if Van Jefferson isn't an NFL caliber player, why'd he get a bazillion snaps last year?

After seeing how today played out and now they're staring down the barrel of Aaron Rodgers or another season of Russ, it just couldn't be more obvious that perpetual 9-8 seasons is this team's only long term goal. It's the only thing they know how to build toward.

They still have a shit ton of cap space. A Watt extension would probably result in even more for this year. They kind of have to use it eventually because of the cap floor rules, but there don’t seem to be a ton of enticing players to use it on.

This kind of make some sense. Metcalf doesn’t count, Rodgers wouldn’t count, and Slay doesn’t count.

I don’t understand this notion that they aren’t going to pay big money for 2 wr. They aren’t spending money on anything else on offense. The line will be all on a rookie contract once Issac walks. Cam is done in 2 years. They will have a rookie qb starting in 26. There was reports last season the locker room doesn’t want Boyd because of the things he said as a bengal.
It’s different than the bengals paying 40 million to chase and 30 million to Higgins plus Burrow
I’m basing it on their history.
When have they ever had 2 receivers making big money.

They chose one from plax/ Hines.
One from AB/ Wallace

I hope they do change up from what they used to do cause I’d personally would like to keep Pickens
