Replacing Kakko when line 3 works best with all 3 kids just to keep Reaves seems fireable.

Motte Goodrow Blais. That's it. This is the way. That's a 4th line that wins TB cups.
No doubt in my mind kk is on the bottom
Reaves will never come out
Gg is in love with the dude
I love kk and would be pissed but blais with laf and chy would work i believe

They don't stifle talent or keep costs down. They spend to the cap, so where are they keeping costs down? Not paying Dougie $9M? Watering down the beer?
How do they stifle talent? Did they tell Aho, a second rounder who scored 37 this season, to stop scoring in the playoffs?
Do better.

I didn't think Panarin was great last night, but he did start venturing into the middle of the ice, so I hope that bodes well for game 7.
Their going to need secondary scoring since Rod will have the Staal line pinned to Mika's line. Hopefully, the kids continue to play well and get on the board.
I might be in the minority, but given this obvious fact I think GG needs to do a heavy mixing of the lines. These lines that have worked for us in NY this series don’t work well in Carolina. Split up Kreider and Zibanejad. Get one of those guys away from Staal line. They would still have to focus Zib, but Kreider is due for a game. He’s been disappointing this series.

Lafreniere - Zibanejad - Chytil
Panarin - Strome - Kakko/Goodrow
Kreider - Copp - Vatrano

You need to at least try and confuse the Carolina matchup gameplan at home. They have us on lockdown there with our lines and they don’t have to change a thing about it. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Make the lines deeper. At least get Zib’s linemates away from the Staal line. Generate a favorable matchup for the new Copp line. Lots of scoring potential there. I’m appreciative of “the kid line”, but I wouldn’t expect them to score in Carolina. Time to try and confuse Carolina. Do something unexpected. Make them question their obvious gameplan.

Reaves is not going to come out . Gallant will run out the same guys in game 7 after a game 6 win . I understand that....he pretty well has to do that and I doubt any team members would doubt him if we lose . Win as a team....lose as a team . Reaves being out in an earlier road game would have been acceptable .....but not now . Blais would simply not be an upgrade over Reaves at this stage of his recovery . I like our chances in game 7 . We have some experienced guys and also some good kids.....and IGOR !

The Carolina Hurricanes have never lost a game 7 as the Carolina Hurricanes

No team in NHL history has advanced to a conference final without winning a road game
hopefully statement one is no more after Monday.
But statement is a wEire in a way because it seems to apply to both teams here. Great observation, I know

Where are you hearing this? I suppose that number sounds reasonable but can the rangers afford it?

Game 7 I look to Adam Fox to win us this game at both ends ala Brian Leetch .

He’s due for a goal or two

Score first on Monday and I think we'll see Carolina start to show some nerves and maybe press too much into some mistakes. That's a team with a lot of expectations that was the overwhelming favorite to win this series and they've been on some deep runs lately. If we can score first and not let them get into their preferred groove at home, I really think that we could see some mental mistakes out of them.
Yep, can’t play rope-a-dope this time. Have to score first, second, and third. Put them back on their heels.

Great win for us. 4-0 in elimination games. Whatever happens in game 7 we’ve given them a nasty hard time and f*** them anyway. This is how rivalries are born. Love how the MSG crowd has been giving Tony shit and f*** him too. If their team thought it was going to be easy they‘re getting exactly what they deserve. Igor was fantastic. The two assists and knocking down Jarvis. The kid line came through and Chytil had a monster game. Getting Goodrow back could be a major deal for game 7.
And trouba finally hitting a few guys. Need reaves to lay a couple guys out early as well. Show them the Rangers of game one against Pittsburgh.

Winnipeg Jets fan coming in peace, really glad Copp is working out for you guys and hope you get to the Conference final because the Rangers are a fun team to watch, that and a 1st rounder will help my Jets. :naughty: Anyway lets beat those Canes tomorrow because i'm definitely in a New York groove.

Amazing to watch Chytil and Lafreniere do well and Kakko still floundering.

He is uncanny at not getting points when his linemates do.

I wanna win, but i'll be proud of this team no matter what happens Monday. I was hoping to not get swept. We didn't look like we belonged in the same league as this team in the regular season. Wow. Just wow.
We still don't look like we belong with them. This series has been mostly Carolina vs. Shesterkin.

Switch goalies and it would have been a Carolina sweep.

A win away from hosting yes hosting the eastern conference finals. Don’t take for granted

So maybe it's a different league but that offensive strategy seemed to be the strategy that won the Kings their two cups. As I said 2022 isn't 2012 or even 2014 but it wasn't long ago that @Machinehead was arguing that this is the way you win in the playoffs.
That used to be the gamelan for the those Ducks teams that always went deep but never all the way. Ugly, ugly hockey, all their offense was wristlets from the blue line and try to grease some tips or rebounds. Horrendous.
