He's back on track with his career totals, but maybe he will get a Matthews bump.

Nylander can do it if he wants to and he is on the right team to do so. Probably 87 pts going into gm 82, scores a hatty.

I get it. We haven't won in the playoffs. And Willy still has his frustrating moments. But he's been absolutely solid for over 2 seasons now. Anyone still pouting about him made up their mind during the contract dispute or worship the Kypreos types in the media like weirdos worship Musk, and won't dare go back or change.

this may not be popular opinion but I think this season Teams crap their pants when Willy has the puck because he is so dynamic.

I think Willy has taken over the mantle of most dangerous player with the puck for the Leafs from Marner this season

And of course in the playoffs if it wasn't for Willy Leafs would get steamrolled against habs/bolts IMO

If you have any doubts just watch da Devils game over again .. Willy was best player on ice outside of Murray .. certainly da only guy we had who could control da game .. why because he can skate with/faster than da devils .. rest of our top 4 can't keep up to da game pace with Devils

When the season is over he will probably have near around 70p and Marner and Matthews 90-100p. I hope im wrong and that he also will be around 90-100p. But most important keep being his best in the playoffs.

I think 90 is definitely a realistic options. On pace for 86 after 20 games. Funny thing with Nylander is that while he's definitely turned into one of the better goal scorers in the league, I still see him more as a playmaker than a pure sniper. Him and JT have looked good but can still improve their 5v5 game. The fact that he's playing with Kerfoot who may very well score less than 10 goals this year means his playmaking abilities will go to waste though.

All in all I think 75-85 is a a likely range for Willy.

Edit: it's nice to see Keefe is so willing to let the world know about Nylanders "flaws" but say anything bad about anyone else in the core and Keefe is back on the podium the next day walking back all his comments :shakehead

I'll be shocked if Nylander doesn't break 100 once in his career.

He has all the tools.

He needs the fire and more smarts.
