You think it's laughable that a 26 year old can't surpass his existing career point total by just 10 points?
Difficult, absolutely. Impossible? Hardly
He looks better so far this year.
More effort defensively.

Whoot! A$$ cl*wn is back!lol 90 points. thats laughable
the nylanderites are in full force to start the season ..
You don't get much on the pkYes, but he needs over 20 minutes per game, like Marner gets.
A 12.5% increase in production from one year to the next? You think it's laughable that a 26 year old can't surpass his existing career point total by just 10 points?

Nylander short shifts HIMSELF.Yes, but he needs over 20 minutes per game, like Marner gets.
I am not sold it's a stamina thing but he certainly is the first one off every shift.Nylander short shifts HIMSELF.
He doesn't have the stamina.
.. and no PK time
You do realize he has been playing with flu or something past week????????? It was bad on bench on Thursday night like really bad and same on Yotes game on Monday .. from what I could see from stands he likely should not have played either game .. after da flu it takes time to get your body back to mint condition againNylander short shifts HIMSELF.
He doesn't have the stamina.
.. and no PK time
He has the stamina. It is in his genes. No doubt he could play 20+ min. Nylanders are known to take to long shifts. So if they are short, there must be another reason.Nylander short shifts HIMSELF.
He doesn't have the stamina.
.. and no PK time
in the NHL, he has always been the first off (short shifts). He has the stamina.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that Marner averages 25.3 shifts per game while Nylander averages 21.7.Nylander short shifts HIMSELF.
He doesn't have the stamina.
.. and no PK time
If that is true it could be a number of reasons. But stamina aint one of them.in the NHL, he has always been the first off (short shifts).
his entire NHL career.
he was benched for producing without JT and making him look badI voted yes but I wonder ... His ice time is going down...2 points in the 1at period but barely kisses 14 minutes? maybe he needs to throw a hissy fit it break a stick?
The modern day Mikeal Nylander actuallyNylander could score 40 goals/90 points easily....... if he showed up every game. Nylander is the modern day Alexei Kovalev. One of the most skilled players in the league who takes shifts off.
The modern day Mikeal Nylander actually
But I think he's found a new level of commitment this year. So far this season he's shown less propensity to make the lazy play, he seems to be looking for ways to keep possession going, instead of throwing attack killing muffins at the net for the easy freeze.
At the 10 game mark last year I was frustrated with all his bad habits, by game 15 I wanted him moved. Nothing like that going on so far this year.
He's actually had some PK time and that should speak very loudly about where his game is at. Limiting those lazy things he did on a regular basis last year makes me think 90 is very attainable.
Exactly except for one point, why would a young, good looking, highly desireable guy with pockets full of cash living in Toronto no less, get married? He is worth his contract and more. Good value player that's actually improving. Hope he finds himself at home here where he can do the family thing and sticks around for a fair contract. I think he has even more to show us if he digs for it.
