Only a handful had 2 players get 90 pts last season. Needs to play ES with Matthews/Marner the entire season. The math just doesn't support the probability of 3 90 pt scorers on one roster. Unless league scoring surges, its not likely just on that basis.

There was no option for a simple “no”. I wouldn’t say I’m 50/50 either. Just more like a polite no.

He's sure looked impressive. Maybe all the attention going to Matthews and Marner will put a burr under his saddle and he'll hit the next level. I'm pretty sure he doesn't feel those two are a tier or two above him.

He doesnt need those linemates, he didnt have them last year. He needs to show up for 82 games and he will exceed 100 points, no problem. He was mentally checked out of 30 games last year, got 80 points.

I do believe he can and so chose Yes.

He'll need 44 goals to do it though, so JT has to be on his game at 5/5 play and Sheldon needs to get Willy some 1PP time, and that oughtta do it.

He doesn't seem to get many freebies with J.Tavares, everything seems to be earned.
Probably will crack it if Tavares can get to form from a few years ago.

Than again, its probably harder to crack 90p when you're not the primary option.

The Bill hype on both radio stations today is a new level, his preseason for some reason has lead to wild projections. Not saying he won’t, but I just laugh at extrapolating much from preseason, particularly the bottom feeders we faced.

I could see a career year, particular 5 v 5.

It wouldn't be difficult if he didn't go pointless in 4 game increments. When he scores, it is in bunches, but he has a terrible time with his consistancy

I think Nylander could hit high 90s in a career year. He just hasn’t tapped into that level of consistency throughout his career.

I'd be really happy if he duplicated his totals last year, while becoming a good defensive player as well. We need Nylander, and whomever he plays with, to be a net positive 5v5, and some of that is dependent on him raising his defensive game, which at this stage, is more important than improving offensively.

He definitely has the potential to, especially with a bit of puck luck at the right place and time.

His biggest obstacle is the Matthews-Marner line will almost always be given preferential usage. So it's a matter of icetime and opportunity which may keep his numbers from reaching that

What did he have last season? 80 points? I doubt he surpasses that; and for the team to be successful I really don't think we need him to.

I would prefer to keep Nylander over Marner if it came down to it. People slag on Nylander for his lackluster efforts at times especially on the forecheck but he’s the most clutch player on this team and shows up in the playoffs.

If he plays the same amount of time today with Matthews and Marner every game he could flirt with 90. Just can't see it given he's at best the 3rd option on the team. PPG is where I say he falls.

Depends on how much time he gets away from Tavares. If they put him on a line with two players who can play with him (Malgin, Jarnkrok, Kerfoot, Robertson), he has a really good chance.

what do u think are the chances he can crack 90 pts this season, he looks electric out there
If he plays every game like 1st 2 games of this season then yes he can dominate but we will see as history tells us he takes many games off .. what I love about Willy is he has all da tools in da kit .. he can fly with best .. he can dangle/hands with best .. he can shoot with best .. he is even a pretty decent edge skater too .. his only thing left to decide is if he wants to compete every game or not .. it is entirely in his control to decide
