I disagree with the "7th forward" phrasing, though I agree with the underlying point. My quibble is that a guy who is the heart of your 3rd line and can play in your top 6 isn't usually your 7th-best forward, he's usually more like your 4th or 5th best forward.
I compare him to those guys as well. He doesn't have Lazar's shot and is more of a playmaker, but all 3 of these guys project to similar roles as guys who are almost definitely at least going to be good two-way, all-around third liners but have higher upside.
Yes because it is almost for sure that he becomes at least that...imho that's what makes a guy like Horvat, and Lazar so valuable...on top of that I also easily see him playing in the top six. He's a do everything prospect which are very valuable.
