Bedard somehow landing with Washington probably the ultimate shield, imho, with the experience there. And yeah it would suck for those teams drafting to have a team in a likely position that Washington will end in to be leap frogged. But would be entertaining.
is it even within the rules for Washington to get the pick? thought you could only move up 10 or something

On development alone, where would you say the best place for him to land is among the tanking teams? Places with 1) Good coach 2) Good culture 3) Teammates who can take some pressure off him

Columbus:
Terrible coach (though probably replaced) and Laine and Gaudreau are questionable leaders
I guess it's a good thing we have Boone Jenner and Zack Werenski as captains. Just because someone is the best player doesn't mean they are automatically leaders.

This sounds like nothing more than someone doubling down on their (foolish) pre WJC comments of Fantilli > Bedard
Great, I'm open for you to provide an actual analysis on why my opinion is flawed. I've been pretty consistent on my reason why I believe what I believe, you are welcome to dispute what I said rather than take the easy 'ha, different opinion means wrong' approach.

I don’t think he will be physically fit to play next year the way he is carrying the Pats tonight. Literally the only positive in a shit kicking at the hands of Moose Jaw tonight.

Does he play center next year in the NHL? I think he starts on the wing.
Might depend on the team, if he's on a truly shitty team they might go for him at center right away. But even Crosby started as a winger. Probably an easier way to give him top line minutes out of the gate.

Even if he scores 70 this year, he would only be tied for the 29th most goals in a single WHL season.

But he would at least be tied with Jayden Halbgewachs (who?) as the only players since to 2000 to manage it.
Why would you compare a 20 year old who played 72 games to what Bedard is doing this year as a draft eligible player who will play a dozen less games? Unless you’re just here to troll. Bedard is a very special player and that doesn’t mean he will meet expectations, but as a hockey fan wouldn’t you be excited for the possibility of someone like him coming into the league?

I don’t think he’s here to troll. I already pointed out that only 1 of that group was 17 and he played more games than Bedard will. No harm done.

P. S. Bedard has picked up two secondary assists. Another 5-point night for him.

My bad, I apologize to Mrbuckles. I just find so many posters try to tear down Bedard and Michkov for that matter, and it confuses me because as hockey fans we should be embracing these talents.

Thanks. For the record I'm a big fan of both of these guys.
Was just curious about where his season ranks all-time.

Yeah I jumped on you prematurely so apologies. I can say tonight the Pats defensively looked horrific, 5 of the 9 goals were complete defensive breakdowns. I have overanalyzed Bedard all year but tonight the way he played was a good sign considering how he could have just shut it down and played down to the level of the rest of his team. Instead he went off and played great.

omg halbgewachs was a sharks prospect. they gave him a couple games as an injury callup last yr and he played well but then grier comes in and doesnt give him a contract bc halbgewachs is really small and now he's gone somewhere i think europe.

if you guys want a AAAAHL player with potential and who has not been given a fair oppportunity to play on a big club, he's your man. i miss him

Not much they could've done. They were just a few years out of being all in on a Memorial Cup run.

Edit: Worth mentioning too. It's looking like they'll play Saskatoon in the first round of the playoffs. Regina isn't one or two good players away from competing with Saskatoon, they'd need quite a bit to stand a chance. And after that stands the Winnipeg Ice, Regina couldn't have built a team to be competitive with them. Having the Blades and Ice in their division was just a deathblow to their chances anyways, it was a bad year for them to be competitive.
Am I missing something or is Regina lining up with Red Deer in the first round and not Sask.
