Am I missing something or is Regina lining up with Red Deer in the first round and not Sask.
The first-place teams in the two Divisions in each Conference will receive the top two playoff seeds in the first round only based on Regular Season points. The next six Clubs in each Conference, based on Regular Season points, will receive the third to eighth playoff positions.

Red Deer is the #2 team to play the 7th. seed.

Pats at #6 will play the 3rd. seed. Blades. according to current standings.

Ah ok I see now I was sorting by points% and Red Deer is leading their division.

Well here's hoping Medicine hat catches Regina I was hoping to pick up tickets if Regina got Red Deer in the first round.

I don’t think pressure will get to this kid much. He seems to be the kind who will do his thing regardless or be even better.

I’m biased so i want him with the habs, lol. But i think Vancouver could be a solid spot for him.
If the Habs don't get him, I hope that he ends up in the West Conference. If he were to end up in the Habs division, I think that I would stop watching hockey, as I am fed up with the Habs not having any elite players going on for about 40 years now. (I know about the goalies!!).

Is it too much to ask for at least one player to produce a PPG season semi regularly?

Foolish to diss on Dumais..

Also...if you would have followed his or Halifax season..
Another also, this season; QMJHL > WHL, that shows you haven't followed much CHL this season
- in a fact Dumais has faced the toughest competition this season

1. Jordan Dumais (18 yrs old) 126 points
2. Markus Vidicek (18 yrs old) 77 points
3. Mathieu Cataford (17 yrs old) 72 points
4. Josh Lawrence (21 yrs old) 72 points
5. Attila Biasca (19 yrs old) 53 points
6. Alexander Doucet (21 yrs old) 52 points

your 2 players what you mentioned are 21 year old undrafted
who's next address is either ECHL, AHL if they are lucky, or USport, who started their seasons with
different teams

Hmm,

The Poisson distribution expects that he has(rounded):
0-point games: 4
1-point games: 11
2-point games: 15
3-point games: 13
4-point games: 9
5-point games: 4
6-point games: 2
7-point games: 1

Looks like he's a bit less consistent than expected, with more 0 point and 1 point games, and also more 5 point games, though the sample size's small.

It could also be that he had a small amount of especially difficult or especially trivial opponents.

Averaging 2.53 points per game; none of his teammates are even at 1.50. Next highest in the league is Logan Stankoven-- WHL PoY last season, and 29 months older than Bedard-- at 2.07, then Andrew Cristall at 1.67. His advantage in goal scoring is incredible.

He has 1.70 non-PP points per game, far above Stankoven and Zach Benson who are tied for second at 1.30.
And, he's +36 on a team that has allowed 22 more goals than it has scored at even strength. Impressive stuff for a kid who doesn't turn 18 until July.

Nope, he's playing Saskatoon so that I don't have to drive to Red Deer to watch him play playoff hockey lol.

I already got my playoff pass for the Blades, it's a ridiculous value. $100 for all the games.

Ya I was thinking about getting the rebels one but this the reason I didn't because the matchups aren't set :P

I actually wouldn't mind him going to Montreal. Storied franchise, great young core there. My preference is Montreal, Anaheim and San Jose for where I'd like to see him go.

Strange question but who do you think is the best current NHL player that Connor Bedard is better than right now?

Impossible to say but if we compare past "generational" talents Crosby and McDavid, they both came into the league and immediately produced at top-10 player levels. Bedard seems to have more of an x-factor and unknown factor in that his physical skills aren't as pronounced as those two. He's almost more like Gretzky in that regard. but damn I would love it if he stepped right in and started sniping NHL goalies for 40 or 50.

It’s impossible to answer that. He’s never played a game. Absolutely he already shoots better than 99% of the NHL. He’s definitely going to play in the NHL and it’s extremely likely that he becomes a star. But, we won’t know until he actually plays.

Looks like 2G, 1A tonight so far - late in the second. Quite the recovery in these last 3 games after his brief cold spell.

So the Pats won 7-3. Bedard got another hat trick. 3G, 2A. That’s five points literally two nights in a row. And a hat trick two nights in a row. I also like that it has been against good teams.
We'll see how much he has left in the tank for his 3rd game in 3 nights tomorrow.

Needs just 1 more point in his next 3 games to hit 140 on the year. Would be the first CHLer since Patrick Kane in 2006-07 to do so.

It will be interesting for sure. I believe he got shut out last time he had that third game in 3 nights.

Connor Bedard is having a better draft season than McDavid was. They're averaging around the same PPG but McDavid played in a higher scoring league with a much, much better team. McDavid wasn't even the leading scorer on his team.

It's hard to tell how it will translate to the NHL though, because Bedard is smaller and isn't as fast as McDavid was.

I skimmed thru WHL scoring finishes back to 1997 and the highest I found was 134 points, so Bedard is already doing similar stuff in his scoring environments that McDavid is doing in the NHL this season. How many games do The Pats have left? Did WHL teams play triple headers back in the 80s and the 90s, too?

3 games so likely he hits 140.

Can't remember the 80s but in the 90s, yes, 3 game weekends weren't rare. They are brutal to play.

His wrister is even better than Laine and Semin from what I've seen. I tried slowing down a clip of his goal yesterday to .25 and I still can't see it until its in the net. I'm tempted to bet on him scoring 50 in his first season.

He's probably better than Marner right now

IIRC, Stamkos said that McDavid was better than him while he was a prospect and McDavid stepped in and finished #3 in points-per-game as a rookie

If he lives up to the hype like McDavid, Bedard is a 100 point rookie in this high scoring environment

That's pretty ridiculous. People need to dampen their hype a bit.

In 5 years, I do believe he'll no doubt better than Marner. In 3 years, likely. Today, not a chance.

It's pretty unrealistic to expect him to step in and not have an adjustment phase especially since he isn't as fast as McDavid.

Bedard isn't great defensively yet, Marner is.
