Knies has the highest offensive upside here and the Leafs are desperate for scoring from outside their big 4. Hayton would be great but not worth the cost.

I would definitely be interested in Hayton in a separate deal (if possible) but Knies is simply untouchable.

Lawson Crouse is having a very down year. Hayton is... an interesting case. Not at all living up to his draft pedigree, but he's a useful player. All that said, as a Utah fan, I'd take this trade and run, because it doesn't strike me as very good value for Toronto at all.

That's the point, if Knies goes it has to be for an impact player.

I think this trade makes Toronto better. Crouse would be a good fit with Marner and Matthews and Hayton would beef up the middle 6.

A young, fast, power forward with size, skill and soft hands around the net. We really haven't had a guy like that since Gary Roberts (sorry JVR).

22 year old power forward, soft hands, high enough IQ he can play with stars and also produces lower in the lineup. On pace for 30+ goals this year on a team that has regressed to middle of the pack offensively under Berube.

And on top of that, been a monster the last 2 playoffs despite being a rookie for both. Every team in the league wants these guys and we've never been able to get one.
